Genre:Crack/angist (but i'm pretty sure thats all i ever do)
Summary: How long did they really think it would last...
Tidbit: I'm sorry if I let you guys down but senior year has been a killer. Maybe once i get into college i can put more stuff up. Well here's hoping :3

The two looked at each other, frozen in time. Key put down the shirt he was folding in his hand. Jinki noticed the boy’s suitcase on top of the dresser.

"I thought I'd be able to finish up before you got in" Key nervously chuckled. "I was just-"
"-stop" Jinki interrupted "I already know. I just...why?"

Key sat on the bed and folded his hands between his legs, dropping his head in shame. "When did you find out?"

Jinki sat next to him, looking straight ahead. "I guess a week ago".

They sat in silence for a few minutes then Jinki broke the silence. He turned to look at key and asked "what did I do"

Kibum shot his head up and looked at Jinki. "Don't play that bullshit game with me Jinki! There's no victim in this scenario. We were growing apart and nothing could stop that"

Jinki shot up off of the bed tears building up in his eyes.

"So instead of saying anything to me, you just go to someone else. You may not have enjoyed this relationship but I did Kibum! How could you?!"

Kibum continued to look at Jinki and said softly "For that Jinki I am sorry. It was wrong for me to do it that way"

Jinki lowered himself back onto the bed. The tears were really falling now. Kibum put his hand on Jinki's shoulder. "This is it Jinki"

Out of nowhere Jinki turned to key and began kissing him intensely. Kibum tried to push the boys away but couldn't. After struggling with him for a few minutes key gave in. He understood why Jinki was doing this. It was his way of saying goodbye, getting rid of every last piece of love he'd had for the boy who broke his heart.

Jinki threw off his shirt then pulled off Key's. He began kissing the boys neck while running his hands over his body. His kisses were sloppy and almost seemed violent. Though Key felt good physically, emotionally Jinki wasn't really doing anything for him.

"This won't solve anything" key said between his moans.

"Shh" Jinki begged between his kisses.

"I can't stay after this" key insisted.

"Please!" Jinki pulled away from his neck and looked Key in the eyes, "don't say anything".
Frightened Key closed his mouth and kept his eyes on Jinki.

Jinki pulled off key's pants and began stroking his member while going back to kissing the boys neck. Key moaned loudly. Even if he didn't want it to, it still felt good.

Jinki couldn't wait any more; he threw off his own pants and thrust his already hard member into key without any warning. Key screamed out, surprised by Jinki's sudden action.

As he thrust in and out, slamming Key harder and harder each time, Jinki began to lose interest. Interest in key, interest in the moment and interest in their entire relationship. But for Jinki, he needed to say it for it to be real. With all these feelings running threw him, Jinki didn't know how he was going to finish. He took Key's legs and wrapped them around his waist.

"I love you" he said as he thrust himself into key, the tears welling up again.

"That's not good enough" Key said in short breaths.

"We can be happy together, I know we can" the tears were falling rapidly now onto key's stomach.
"Not we Jinki, you" Key felt the end approaching quickly.

"I love you" Jinki repeated

"....but" Key said as Jinki gave one final push "I don't love you"

The two came together, both disappointed with their final results.

Jinki feel on top of key, his head landing on the others chest. Key began to feel the tears from Jinki's eyes. His hands floated above Jinki's head wanting to comfort him, tell him thinks were going to be ok, but he knew that wouldn't be good for either one of them. Instead, he pushed the boy's shoulders up, causing Jinki to rise completely off of him, and began to collect himself.
The two said nothing after that and got dressed in silence. Neither one of them taking a glance at the other.

Once dressed, Key shoved as many clothes as he could into his suit case. On his way out of the room, he took a slight glance over his solider and said to Jinki "I'm not sure if we were too close or not close enough, but there's no going back. Good bye Jinki"
And with that he left Jinki forever alone in the silence of that room.

Foreword:

Jinki found himself digging through the romance section of his local book store. He had never really been into that genre but for some reason he felt those books calling to him. One book spine read the title “To my Heart” and Jinki reached out to grab it, but so was another hand. He looked over to the person attached to that hand and was taken aback.

“Kibum?” Jinki questioned

“Hmm” the man turned to look at him. “Oh my gosh, Jinki is that you?”

Jinki heard him but he couldn’t speak, his words were trapped in the memories of Kibum and the lives they used to lead. Kibum smiled and hugged him. “What are you doing here? How have you been? What are you up to these days?”

Jinki heard all these questions but could not respond. Kibum saw this and proceeded to then answer his own questioned. “Well I’ve been good, I’m here getting a gift for umm…”. He looked away as he said “Jonghyun”.

“Oh” Jinki finally responded,” that’s nice. What’s the occasion?”

“Well, we’re getting married” he discretely showed Jinki his engagement ring “so I thought I’d buy him something”

Jinki picked up Kibum’s hand and looked more intently at his ring, he let out a little laugh, “It could have been you and me you know” he never let his eyes off of the ring. Kibum pulled his hand away. Something inside of him lit up at Jinki’s words but still he had to say “Jinki, that was years ago. I’m sorry that you still feel…” his thought trailed off as a pregnant women waddled up the aisle.

“Jinki” she said excitedly as she ran up to give him a kiss on the cheek, “when did you start liking romance books”

“Kibum,” Jinki started “I’d like you to meet my wife Luna” Luna stuck out he hand to shake Kibum’s. “I’m going to keep looking around ok dubu” she kissed Jinki again and went off searching through the store.

Kibum was in shock, “When did you two meet” he asked with little enthusiasm in his voice.

“I guess” Jinki stared intently into Kibum’s eyes “the week you cheated on me”

An awkward silence swept over them for a moment or two, but then Kibum broke the silence. “You know Jinki; I guessed things turned out for the better”

“I guess so Jinki” replied with a genuine smile and the two proceeded to say their goodbyes. As Kibum left the bookstore with Jong’s gift in hand, he couldn’t help but realize how his and Jinki’s roles had changed. Seeing Luna he had been humbled. Just as Jinki had expected Kibum to always be with him, so did he think that Jinki would always be there.
