So much to unpack from this comment, but thank you for writing this! I really enjoyed this challenge and did it in less than two days to make the icons, I first did the whole what I am doing for each icon from the parent icons. 1 was so much fun to do and I had so much fun using the texture for the composition and realized that I picked it for the red from the parent 1 icon. 4 at first I wanted to do shadows and flowers but that didn't make sense so I realized that the parent in 4 would be awesome for negative space and I wanted to especially push my comforts by not defaulting to stock (with the exception of stock background for 4, 8 and 12). 12 was the perfect combination of making sure to stick with the parent icons but adding the muted/pastel coloring to make it stand out. 13 is my personal favorite, I had so much fun coloring and combining various textures to make it stand out. At 14, I was being a little bit cheeky but it made sense to find a full body cut but add the negative space while combining textures to help the subject stand out more (also wanted to follow the orange/yellow coloring in parent 14 icon).16 originally I wanted to do levels and frame but then I didn't think it work out to well so I went with the thing that I also dreaded the most which was text. 17 forced myself to really work the text out and by this time it made sense to do it in the center as opposed to the side or something. 19 literally was me just following the parent icons (and subconsciously using the green coloring also found in the parent icon for the new icon). 20, This was probably the moment which I used the same frame from the parent icon but the coloring help add to the painted effect in the other parent icon to help stand out (and I was totally nervous about this icon because I wasn't sure if I did this properly but I just wanted to submit after I was done). And realized that I sure did love that frame because it was seen in multiple of parent icons (LOL)!

Thank you so much for your comment again, this was a super fun challenge and I enjoyed every minute just pushing myself and showcasing the progress I made (and noticing a few of the parent icons that had mistakes in them but that's the point with progress).
