Boring kinda snow
Am grumpy today ....
It's a mixture of a boring weekend and the fact the library is filled to the brim with LOUD FUCKING TOSSERS (or patrons as I'm supposed to call them).
Started on Friday night when I told a guy to turn his phone off and he's started being a dick about it and demanding to see where it is written that he can't use his mobile phone in the library (eh. the answers in the question prick teeth).
So I informed him that there indeed a sign at the door ... this made him worse and he started on the attendant who unfortunately wasn't being a Nazi and was reasonable and talked to the bloke like he had a brain. This made the guy think he was invincible and started to give a speech about how he was the "customer" and how he pays my wages ...
I was very tempted to tell him that he should give me a rise since I had to put up with dicks like him all day - but I gave him a look of death and walked off instead.
I do hope I get to serve him again and find out his name ... is amazing what terrible things you can do once you have a name ...
Saturday was a bit of bust - went shopping during they day and managed not to buy anything (good girl) came home and bought loads of the net (bad girl).
Bought another fecking dress for Noir ... it's beginning to get a bit silly - if Noir ever stops I'm not too sure what in hell I'm gonna do with them all. Develop a taste for cocktail parties and the opera!
Gemmels' band was playing on the Saturday night - but I had agreed to work on Sunday so stayed in and watched Crash (good movie - but not exactly Saturday night viewing).
Sunday was a waste of a day - got up at 8.30 had shower and then realised just how bad the snow was and that there was very little chance of me getting to the West End :( Phoned Stewart for a weather report from his end and he confirmed the place was white all over. He seemed pleased though as it meant no work for him and snowball fights with Charlotte. I was less amused at missing work. Now working on a Sunday is not my idea of fun - but getting double time for it is :) Suppose I had a day to catch up with laundry etc and that's never a bad thing.
Right I have less than 10 mins to go - I'm away to pee (and before you think that's too much information - this is a bloody journal people!) and then I'm off to brave the sludge :(
