This is without doubt my most loved song. I have to listen to it several times whenever I put it on because once is just never ever enough and it's been like that from the very first moment I heard it. Everytime I sit in amazement at it, because no matter how many times I've heard it, and it must have been thousands now, if not a million times, I cannot listen with indifference. It is always fresh and everytime I end up overwhelmed by it's gorgeous, simple sensuality.
The church bells, the heart beat drum, the whipping sound, the sushing synths like breath, her breathy shushing vocals. Every element is pleasing to my soul and in a way that I likely cannot quantify and yet here I sit trying to write about it.
