Ha ha thank you for your patience and your determination :D I really really really like Apres Moi so much but well it's better to tackle one thing at a time...

Watch this space for the Regina gushing/brain washing that is sure to come soon...

this concert is likely to be populated by a load of trendies whose clothes I will feel unable to compete with who will make me feel quite socially awkward and out of place and regret going....

well go anyway, and be fabulous!

not sure if I'd personally be capable of taking that advice myself though, due to my extreme introvertedness.

But maybe I'll do that when I hit 50, when nothing else matters. I'll have crazy Dame Edna glasses frames and a big fuschia trenchcoat and wear huge pashmina scarves and a haircut that's too young for my jowly face. And talk really loud and with a big sense of entitlement and give my $0.02 about everything. *sigh*

no... when I get to be 50, it's more likely that I'll cut my grey hair like Susan Powder's, and wear a leather jacket and cast knowing glances everywhere.

Lol a great little glimpse into the future there - I think that the second one is the better of the two options, dignity is not soomething that one should loose with age - surely older = wiser = dignity...

I don't know who Susan Powder is I am so gonna google her once I have written this...

I did a little edit, I emailed Jen and I think I'm gonna go - I must just do stuff when I want it's the only way out of the agony of indecision and myriads of painful too much thought that all my schemes get caught in...

it's susan powter... I spelled her name wrong... in any case she has almost a brush cut, bleach blonde.

I recorded the audio of that song for my mp3 player, wow! The dude has a nice voice... I like the aggressiveness of the beat with the quiet piano - pop + heaviness that to me is a bit like Malajube. Not the same thing... but I see parallels.

Pate Filo

I suspected it was Powter, my friend Lulu had her hair like that once...random faxx...

Which one Gravity's Rainbow? - I adore that one in particular myself. I like the whole agressiveness of it all period...it's just full on and yet this heavenly voices floating over the top of it all...

The cartoon of the lead singer in that Malajube vid looks exactly like David Sylvian in cartoon form on the front of the Blemish album....the hat, the long hair

i saw the klaxons at that nme indie rave tour thingy! go see them if you like them!! psh who cares what the stupid kiddies wear its all 'new rave' isnt it, so they'll have glo-sticks and possibly some bright colors on, but i went and i was in black and jeans or summat as usual, its no big deal. i personally find the klaxons overrated. but its fun to dance to and i really think why the hell not go if you even slightly want to, there's so few things i tend to want to do that if i do, i just think , well do it! i'm glad you emailed your friend. :D

You're right I find myself talking myself out of my plans always and it's better to start looking at things from the perspective of why not for a change. I just have to wait till Jen mails me back and hope for the ebay gods to shine on me re the tickets...

It'll give me something to look forward to if I can sort it and I will have the satisfaction of arranging something, no matter how small...

I am always intimidated by trendies (even though they have hideous dress sense) I never seem to look good in anything I wear - I have a horrid boy...

but ah well I don't care I will always look this way and I am intimidated by plenty of people and I wouldn't live (if you call what I do living, ha ha) if I surrendered to it all...

I think that Gravity's Rainbow might be my favourite...now I have to hope

Oh my, go if you wanna for god's sake! Are you going there for the music or for the people?
It's about the expierience of being there, who cares about the rest? Don't let the thought of others ruin your fun. I can up the album for you if you like.

Oh and does anyone know what I can do to stop the flu that is burgeoning on my horizon?

Buy probiotics. Any brand, any kind, and pop them like whoah. I take one a day during the flu months and I haven't had proper flu in about three years. Everyone in my family had a proper cold a month ago and I was just a wee bit sniffly for a few days, that's all. They work like a charm.

And go see the Klaxons. I've no idea what they sound like but it's always good to go see hyped-about bands. Even if you don't like them, you can always say "Yeah, I saw them when they were just starting out.." in a slightly bored voice, while examining your nails and watch your "cool" factor soar through the roof.
