Small Town Life
When one lives in a small town, one notices when a neighbor leaves in the middle of the night, abandoning their house. Our neighbor (not the one with a billion dogs) did this last week. A bunch of stuff that they left in the house was placed on the curb for free. Mr. Lula, being the scavanger that he is, went to look and brought home a 52" wide screen HDTV. I kid you not. It's a $1500 TV that we got for free. How crazy is that? Oh, yeah, one thing though, IT DOESN'T WORK! Now I have a giant TV, bigger than my both my couches, that doesn't work. Of course, Mr. Lula's logic is that even if it cost us $500 to fix it we are still ahead of the game. But if you don't have the money to start with it's just another peice of junk littering your house.
4th was fun. We had Mr. Lula's sister and nephew up for the weekend, the second weekend in a row she came to visit. She's been laid off for six months and has nothing else to do. If she doesn't find a job soon she's going to get evicted from her house which means that we may be having her living with us. It could get interesting in the Lula house soon.
That's all for now. There's more going on, but I don't feel much like going into it.
