New TV Shows
So today I decided to try looking at a new tv show. I had no idea what it was about, but it was apparently shown on Showtime. It's called Weeds. All I have to say is that it's really funny. I like it.
Today I had to go tramping around the city looking for geological hazzards. All I have to say about that is I can't wait to get home b/c NZ is about to fall into the ocean. I'm not even kidding about. The entire island itself isn't really old as far as land masses goes anyway. SO the land is still changing, still exploding w/lava and sits on a MAJOR fault line. The fault tends to cause an earthquake every 300 years or so and NZ is overdue by about 30 years for the next one. I swear nz is about to fall into the ocean. Also the entire city sits on top of silt. So the earth gets eroded all the time and so houses move and everything ALL the time due to the shift of plates and all the tiny faults under it not to mention the errosion of the land. Yeah lets all take a moment to pray that Luisanna makes it off this island before the over due natural disaster hits.
On the upside we are unlikely to be flooded by river any time too soon. There are measure in place for that, but it is likely that a tsunami could wipe out all the power and sewar for half the island. That's comforting isn't it?
Well that's all I have to say for now. Keep on the watch on CNN incase disaster hits. Remember that I live on the South island in christchurch on the east coast of the island. so dont' freak out if there is a hit on the north island since it's the south island that creates and provides power for the entire country practically, and if it hits on the west coast there are huge mountains that will probably just avalanche, but they are far away so we should be safe.
