Outbreak two: Hidaka drift (sorry that`s really lame)
Just like Friday, today there are no students at school. This is because some kids (20 or so) have the flu, and therefore the entire school has been closed... The teachers are either making themselves coffee, chatting to their neighbours or pretending to work, all whilst wearing surgical masks. I think that they are worried that they will catch the flu virus just from being here. I`m no infectious diseases expert, but I`m pretty sure that to catch the flu someone with the flu has to be in the same place as you. I could be wrong. They are all surprised that I am not wearing a mask, to which I want to say that if they are all wearing a mask then there is no need for me to wear one. And you know what, the flu wouldn`t be so bad right now, I wouldn`t mind being curled up in bed right now.
Today I am heading off to Hidaka Elementary School for a short visit. I have a feeling that if I am going to catch anything it will be in this little petrie dish of an environment.
