So this year, spring break was devoid of kegs in the shower, broken
windows, being buried in the sand, excessive amounts of streaking and
general nakedness, group showers, shots of tequila at taco bell, "you
won'ts", picking fights with marines, and 2:1 ratio of girls to guys in
the same bed. Even so, it was nice. I hung out in Tallahassee most of
the week with my mom and my sister, dad was unfortunately away on
business. Spent most of the week working out, reading, watching alot of
tv and enjoying the fresh air and bad drivers of Tally-ho. Saw some old
friends who I haven't seen in too long. Finally told mom about joining
the Reserves, and it feels like a huge weight off my chest. Now I don't
have to put it off anymore and I can start preparing for the 4 months
of fun that I get to partake of this summer. Side note - the movie Sin
City looks awesome (a commercial for it just came on, sue me). Anyways,
back to the reserves. I found out a friend of the family who went into
the Army right out of high school and is the same age as me has already
begun his flight training at Ft. Rucker. This is good news because it
means that your Bix will be able to start flight training sooner than
expected, and hopefully be in the pilot's seat of an Apache within the
next couple years. Scary thought, I know :p It means I'll have to go
active duty, but I was planning on doing that after I graduated
anyways.
Speaking of graduation, I'll be halfway done with college in about a
month. WTF? Where have the last 2 years gone? Anyone with any
information as to their whereabouts, please don't hesitate to contact
me.
