Touring south eastern South Australia

Aug 20, 2002 19:32

Over the last couple of days I've been around a fair bit of south eastern South Australia.

I've been to the fishing communities of Robe and Beachport... quiet little towns as such but definitely some good sites at seeing over the coastline.

But the most southern point of South Australia was a rifle range, but also 1200KM from Sydney, and only 5700KM from the South Pole! Also climed to the rim of the crater of Mount Schank (a volcano!) and visited a Blue Lake (but is only blue in summer).

Quite a nice area... just everything is so far away from everything else!
