You Name: Meg Age: 26 Location: Toronto, Canada Describe yourself in two sentences:
Your True Loves Your Top Fandoms: Parks and Recreation, Game of Thrones, Fringe, Downton Abbey, Doctor Who, Community, Happy Endings, The Vampire Diaries. Your Top Ships: Leslie/Ben, April/Andy (Parks and Rec), Mary/Matthew (Downton Abbey), Olivia/Lincoln (Fringe), Eleven/Amy (Doctor Who), Jeff/Annie (Community), Kurt/Blaine, Brittany/Santana (Glee), Brad/Jane (Happy Endings). Your Current Non-Fandom Interests: Fashion, history, art, ballet, opera, museums, gaming, salsa dancing.
Your Journal Stuff You like in an LJ friend: I like people who are active on LJ - you don't have to comment or post every day, but I like people who pop by every once in awhile so I know that they're still around. I like to get to know people because I don't want the people I add to just be another username in a list. My journal is also a hate-free zone; I like what I like, you like what you like, and it's all good. I just ask that people have social justice awareness and leave their -ist nonsense at the door (especially when it comes to fictional ladies, because I love me some fictional ladies). Oh, and journals that are a combination of real life and fandom posts are a plus. Are you a commenter, a lurker, or both?: A bit of both - I comment as much as I can when I have something to say, but even if I'm not commenting I'm at least reading. Any friending requirements we need to know about?: I prefer friends that are closer to my age, or at least post-high school, but it isn't a strict rule. I would also prefer if we have several common interests/fandoms and/or some mutual friends. Also this isn't a requirement but I guess any friend of mine should have a decent attention span because I am... loquacious and my entries tend to be on the long side (though I always organize things list-style). Anything Else?:
Where you're from could have sold me all on its own. Even though I'm from the States (Georgia, to be exact), Toronto is my favorite city! I've gone there and nearby Stratford for the past two years during the summer and returning this coming summer, as well.
BUT, we do have things in common: I also love ballet, opera, art, history, and museums. You'll see my art appreciation swings more to theatre, though, but I love all of it!
I'm thirty year old school teacher. Like you, all I require is respect and courtesy on my journal. My journal consists of real life and fandom talk.
I love your icon :D Also, you sound pretty interesting...I am also quite a bit into fashion & history, plus I'm a huge feminist so we should get along (I hope :) ). My post is here if you want to check it out:
