sweater weather
Oh I'm so envious of my friends in Amsterdam now, I want to go to the Netherlands so badly! They're being all cute and fighting over which one I miss more, but I just want them to come home so I have more people to hang out with here. I just sort of realized that a lot of people I hang out with/really want to hang out with more aren't here. Gotta cram it all in this last year!
Today is a great day to wear a collared button-down of the plaid persuasion under a sweater of the wool variety, which is what I am doing. I love fall fashion so much, I can't dress or enjoy dressing for any other season. Sweaters with shirts under feels so collegiate, so New England, so late 1970s.
My new cds came in the mail today and I have to say, I fucking love Chet Baker so much. His voice and the subdued tinkling of piano keys makes me nostalgic for something I don't think I've ever experienced. Its complicate to discribe but it feels so distinctly of the American vernacular, distinctly young and metropolitain...could fit perfectly any season. Oooh, I love it so much.
