Update; it's been a while.
It's been months since I've posted here, or even checked this site... which would last have happened from Boston late September.
In the almost-four months since, I've lived in six cities across five states and traveled... well, I just now wondered about what the actual distance was. Measuring and calculating says about 7,175 miles by road (mostly from: New England to southern California, New England to Texas, Colorado to Florida) and 3,423 miles in the air.
Events of the travel itself are a long story but, especially the clusterfuck in Houston (which according to a friend from that city, should apparently have killed me... something about walking for miles, late at night, through an area he'll actively avoid driving through in daytime), likely add up to a pretty decent one.
(A cynic would say that you can't travel 10,500 miles, mostly by road, and *not* compile enough people/events to make a half-decent narrative. The cynic would be correct; cynics usually are.)
Right now I'm in Lake Worth, Florida, about an hour straight north of Miami. Arrived here New Years' Eve and, after the last few months, it's going to take a damn good reason for me to leave this state until April or so.
