first mango of summer
yes I know, it's been ages since I last posted. I've sort of been busy, and got out of the habit of posting. So here is my attempt to get back in the habit.
Saturday. A friend came around Saturday, and we had an enjoyable time. Then was chatting to someone else online, and he was like, lets go have lunch. So I got ready, and wandered down Chapel Street to the bank, and then trammed it to his place, which is in the Chevron. The Chevron was the swish place in the 30's, 40's and 50's, before it went very downhill. Has been vacant for years, and they are just finishing redoing it as apartments, with some new blocks out the back. Lance's place is rather small, but a great location. You can watch the trams on Commercial Road and St Kilda Road, lol. We wandered up Commercial road, to Heaven 151 for lunch. Was a very big meal! We talked alot about Lance's work, and travels and so on. Then walked up to Prahran Market. He was heading for safeway, and I was heading for the asian grocery on Chapel Street, so we parted. After my shopping, made it home. Chatted to afew people online, before Dan came over for a bit. We watched some movies and discussed life, the universe and everything. After he left, Tom was online, and wanted to meet for a chat. We arranged to meet at DT's, so I got ready, and went and caught the Chapel Street tram up. Had a drunk guy come around and say hello, and a woman and her blind mother chatting, all very interesting, LOL. DT's was quiet (it being 7:45), and waited at the bar until Tom arrived. We then went out to the garden, which was empty. He is still struggling with his breakup, and some recent contact from his ex boyfriend. We talked for over 2 hours, and then he drove me home, and he headed off to work.
Sunday. Slept in a bit. Had breakfast, and then it was time to go to Geoff's. Marg and Bruce were there. Lunch rolled on, and then onto the Astor, for High Society, which I enjoyed much more this time. Then there was a band, Lets Dance. They performed for 2 hours! And a few people danced towards the end. Then back to Geoff's for more eating and drinking, lol. Made it home about 10pm! Tom rang, and we arranged to meet up for a movie tonight. I've got OH&S training all week, which will make a change. Anyway, must get ready and go!
