its december first, how weird is that!!!!!! and just for amelia, i have a post free of latin whining! so today after latin im walking to my car. this guy with a rolling backpack comes up to me and asks me if im a student. i say yeah. he pulls out a bhagavad-gita and i said "oh, the bhagavad-gita" and he says "you've heard of it?" OF COURSE IVE HEARD IT, IM NOT AN IDIOT. he then gives it to me, tells me he's a monk and his order is on a nationwide campus tour campaigning for the hare-krishna consciousness something or other. i was like oh cool, thanks for the bhagavad-gita. then he says that the books are free, but they accept donations. i say i dont carry cash and i dont have any checks on me (both of which were true... how could i lie to a monk?!) and then he says i can just give him my credit number. thats when i said "sorry i cant really trust a random guy from the street with my credit card number" and then he said "oh well i can just give you a copy of our magazine" and then he pulled out this lame pamphlet and gave it to me and took back the bhagavad-gita. i was pretty pissed. how is he gonna convert me if i dont have the book?
