my brother is now married
welllllllll its monday night. my brother got married on saturday night. it was awesome, and beautiful. im really glad that he and alicia are together. i cried alot though. the week before the wedding was absolutely INSANE. monday night my brother, justin house, owen, chad, and myself went camping. it was crazy. but really fun. lots of laughs. tuesday and wednesday and thursday were spent cleaning, playing golf, preparing for the wedding, spending time with my brother, and helping my mom with whatever she needed to do.
thursday was absurd. we went out to lunch and justin and i played a prank on alicia's bridesmaids that involved a car accident. it only went on for about 20 minutes, but it turned out horribly. a pastor went to the ER to be with my family, and a bridal shower was completely canceled. we spent about 3 hours trying to fix everything. the rest of the day was spent cleaning the rest of the house. thursday night was the bachelor party. first we went to wings and had good food and good company. mr connell was there. then we went to humphrey's downtown to have drinks and cigars. matt jones and i didnt order a drink because we are not 21, and everything was fine. about 3 minutes later we hear the band sarting to warm up and the waitress came back to card everyone because when the band plays, its 21+. so all of had to leave because apparently matt jones and i werent old enough to hear the band. very lame. then we went to sazio to sit on their patio and have drinks and cigars. ive only had about 12 puffs on any cigars in my entire life, and im not a huge fan, but since it was my brother's bachelor party and he really likes cigars, i wanted to smoke one with him. i smoked a romeo y juliete, and i actually enjoyed it quite a bit. i smoked the whole thing, and felt great for about 20 minutes. then i felt really crappy, then i looked at the table, and puked all over it. then i felt great again. then we came back to my house and played poker. i broke even, so i was pretty happy.
friday we played golf, and then my entire family arrived. my family is crazy. friday night was the rehearsal and dinner. i cried at the rehearsal when alicia walked down the aisle. i cried when i toasted them at the dinner. i cried when everyone else toasted them at the dinner. for being the best man, my brother got all these pictures of me and him from when we were babies until we were big, and matted them in this really pretty frame. i love it. then my whole family came back to my house. my brother and my cousin mark were wrestling. my brothers hand smashed his hand on the ceiling fan light bulb holder thing, and gashed his wrist open. we stopped the bleeding, but his hand starting swelling and hurting really bad. by about 11:45 my brother thought it was broken, so i took him to the ER at midnight. fun times.
saturday i spent all day with my brother and the groomsmen, it was really fun. we went to buffalo wild wings, and my brother thought he had tetanus from the broken lamp, but we called a nurse and convinced him that he was ok. then we went to the church around 2 to start getting dressed. we were all goofing around and stuff, and then it was time for pictures. alicia looked absolutely beautiful, everything a bride should be. the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked really good too. then we all sat around and tried to calm down matthew, then it was time for wedding!! it was so beautiful and nice and wonderful. i cant really describe it. then the reception was really fun, i saw many people i havent seen in so long.
sunday morning i didnt go to church because i was so exhausted from the week. some of my family was still here, so i hung out with them all day.
i must say im really glad alicia and matthew got married. her family is wonderful, ive gained a sister and 2 brothers from this, and i really like all of them. i cant wait to drive up to north carolina to visit them this summer!
