[The feed turns on, and whatever Luke is doing the ground must not be steady, because the image is shaking. He looks like he hasn't slept much in the last day, and his sweater is smudged and dirty.]
[He has bad news for Discedo--even if it's mostly bad news for him--but he knows the Professor would want him to behave like an adult and tell as soon as he knew. Luke swallows, takes a deep breath, and then quietly:]
Professor Layton's gone home.
[There's a pause, as Luke takes a moment to steel himself. One sleeve rubs his eyes, but he looks convincingly exhausted so he obviously isn't crying.]
He isn't here, even though I went and looked. And his frequency is just gone. So..
I suppose someone new will need to organize supply runs?
[Luke looks at the screen quietly for a moment before shutting the feed off.]
