SOUNDTRACK 009 // AUDIO

Feb 22, 2010 22:28

I'm aware of the romantic connotations humans give to the month of February, as well as the general "love" atmosphere that finds its climax in the Valentine's day festivity and sometimes lasts for the rest of the month. I'm also aware of how many will go out of their way and even move in almost desperation to have at least a date, or in the better ( Read more... )

Everyone really has gotten into a romantic mood the last couple of days, haven't they? So many are pairing up, seemingly out of the blue. I can't quite understand it, either.

It's part of what confuses me, even people who up until now haven't seem to care about romance are pairing up. I know some humans reject solitude and such in certain festivities but this is getting ridiculous.

Though my dear says it's probably just people picking up the slack they missed out.

[He makes a funny little noise.]

Your...dear, Luka?

Ah, yes... He took the time to answer me and clarify that my systems have the correct date. It was so kind of him to bother with me like that...

[That shade of red her face has can't be healthy.]

[Oh no, it can't be--]

But, calling him your dear is still kind of...hm? Your face is rather red. Is there something wrong?

Ah? Is it wrong?

Oh, of course, what if he hears? He will just laugh at me, or be uncomfortable. I shouldn't go around saying that when I can't tell him to the face, right? Will you keep me this secret Gakupo? Please?

[Please, please, please. She doesn't know what she would do if he hears and outright rejects her. Even if its the logic action, she's an android, he's human, it can't be.]

[Sob, how could she possibly expect him to go tell anyone when she looks like that.]

O...of course. I won't say a word, I promise you. Anyone who you would call 'dear', though, should be honoured and flattered.

[Breathes in relief before she blushes again a sad smile on her lips.]

Thank you, Gakupo. Though I'm not as sure as you that he would feel that way. Logically he would... Even be disgusted in the best scenario.

I can't believe I let that slip after so long, it must be me getting tired of holding it back. I should watch my words when I talk to him.

You always think so very logically, Luka, but... Perhaps he would be happy to hear it. Emotions are quite complicated things, and they seem to change so rapidly for humans.

[And apparently, that isn't just limited to humans. He's rather sceptical about that 'after so long'.]

Emotions are annoying at times, they make hard to think specially logically. This things wouldn't happen if we had masters, or at least it should be easier to deal with it then.

[In love or not there are some things that won't change, and despite her blush and dreamy eyes her tone does sound annoyed at the mention of how emotions cloud logical thinking.]

Still as rapidly as emotions can change for humans, I can't take seriously a positive outcome from this. I'm too terrified to do so.

Yes, I imagine it would be different if we had Masters. I've yet to find one here, but--perhaps I haven't been looking as hard as I could be.

[He pauses, and his next word sounds a bit puzzled:]

Terrified?

Well... It's scary to think of what would happen if he knew. The unknown... You know I don't like that.

I... haven't actually looked for a Master. I did once, when I arrived but ended deciding to go on my own since many people around here don't seem to like the idea of being "Master". Not to mention some don't even understand why anyone would want a singing android.

I would like to have him as my Master though, even if he never gave me any use...

Yes...I know.

[A pause.] I suppose we can't expect to find a Master exactly the same way KAITO did. Perhaps one of these days one of those who listen to my songs will wish to be my Master.

I hope he will become your Master, then, Luka.

KAITO was really lucky, Master Haruki is a good master and they fit so perfectly. [There's no envy though, only sincere happiness for her brother.

Ignore the sudden blush on her cheeks Gakupo. It's not important.]

D-Don't say that! It would just give me illusions. You should say "he would prefer a better model" or something like that... Or that "you deserve a better Master".

[His expression is puzzled, as is his tone of voice:] Should I? But, if it would make you happy, then of course I'd wish for him to be your Master. No matter if it gives you illusions or not.

But it's not good to have too many illusions, then they shatter it will just hurt more, won't it? That's why some humans dislike that.
