Good evening LJ. How are things with you? Good to hear! Let us take an adventure through today. Come with on this journey. One word. Screwed.
Let us start with something I was looking forward to. Katie has been working for AIC for a year now. Proud of her. Gooooo Katie. Anyways. Because I referred her, I am suppose to get a bonus at the 3 month mark (250$ which I received promptly) and at the 9 month mark I would get a 450$ bonus as well. Up until today I hadn't received it. I should be excited to finally receive the bonus right? WRONG! They didn't separate it from my cheque and because of that, it put me into a new tax bracket. Extra taxes were taken out. Out of my 400$ bonus, I received a whopping 130$. Seriously! Onto the next problem.
I switched from days. What that means is that I lose 200$ monthly because of the shift premium. Our pay period ends on the 22nd. I switched to days on the 26th. Did I receive my 100$ this pay. NOPE! So more money the company saved. Next topic.
I was denied my pay raise. Why? Performance issues. Apparently I am a poor collector and my statistics (the numbers on a piece of paper) determine that I am a poor employee that doesn't bring the company a lot of revenue. Let us review. I have de-escalated numerous calls. I have answered questions that the TL's should be answering, and I have left the phones and watched over the entire department when management has their weekly meetings. When I was denied, I was the bigger man. I didn't flip out but my managing coach heard what I had to say. She understood my position, thanked me for all my hard work, keep doing what I am doing, and to try again in three months. If I keep doing what I am doing, then I will not get my raise again.
I honestly have had enough. I am starting to look for new work now. Anything really. They have screwed me over for the last time. You would think, a company with a high turnover rate would do everything in their power to keep employees happy. Apparently not. I am going to have a sit down meeting with my MCs and Project Lead to see where they see me going in this company. They will need to show me definitive proof that I will be taken care of or I am gone. I will not poise that as an ultimatum, but if they feed me bullshit, they will lose the hardest working employee there. I will have to think of new things to improve the department and how to bring in more revenue. Trust me, fresh mind, new ideas. You want improvements? You will get them. They are my ideas, don't take credit for them.
