savings

and we're booked! £2,500 later, and we have all of our flights arranged. leaving fair old england on the 16th of october, to return around the end of april/beginning of may. now is the hard part: trying to save as much as possible in the interim to be able to do all the things that i want. and since i go to portugal in little over a week, to cornwall for 4 days immediately after that, to latitude festival in mid july, and lithuania at the end of july, i'm thinking this saving business may become a trifle tricky. still, i must truly save like i have never saved before (which won't be so difficult, because i haven't really ever saved properly before) - and this sudden need for funds may dictate that i get an auxiliary job. i've therefore registered once again with index in fleet, and am hoping to fill in my spare days off with any one-day jobs that may be on offer. aside from that, it means NO FOOD OR WATER FOR 4 MONTHS

still plenty of planning to do - we have the inca trail to book for december, about 10 jabs (yippee) and getting in touch with old friends in new zealand and australia with whom i can up-meet.

for now, though, i need to eat something, and have a strong cup of tea.
