You really think that Moffat will really address Donna's plight, and that Missy would be involved in fixing what the Doctor had done to her? I'm not quite sure she would.... She might do a partial job, bringing back Donna's memories just to torture the Doctor. To the Doctor, the companions may be pets, beings to be protected, but to her, they are toys to be played with or torture. I'd love to see Donna fully restored, but I don't think it's going to happen in canon. That ship has, unfortunately sailed, even if the Doctor remembers her and still mourns her loss.

I don't know that Moff will, but i hope he will. I keep clinging to a rumor from ages ago that Moff and Tate had a meal together somewhere. The fact that Capaldi is Twelve and Twelve could not remember many things in his first full episode...just points to Donna. I suppose it points to Rose just as much, because he couldn't remember the Marie Antoinette, does that mean he couldn't remember Rose and Mickey? But the place Twelve got the face from is very much about Donna. I guess the question is how much Twelve remembers by now. Spoilers say that where the face come from will be a plot point this series as i recall ( ... )

Ooh, interesting take on Missy's insanity. That's sort of like David when he was hiding from Saul; he used insane behavior to get out of the situation. Weren't the drums something the Time Lords put in to contribute to the Master's insanity so he could bring them back? If so, they might well be gone.

It makes sense that Twelve would have suppressed memories, since Eleven was created to forget.... what goes around comes around, I guess!

The Doctor does have this irritating habit of leaving people behind, doesn't he?

As for Moff and Tate meeting for lunch, it has been recently announced that Tate and Tennant are getting back together for Big Finish. I think Tennant might have been in the area as well. There were rumors about them appearing in an episode that revisits the events of "Fires of Pompeii." Lots of rumors fly around, but the only thing actually announced was the Big Finish.

Yes, the drums were sent to the Master on purpose so Gallifrey could get out of the time lock. Now that Gallifrey has been sent back and is merely in another dimension...i don't see any reason for the drums to still be active unless the Doctor has to bring Gallifrey back into our galaxy to get rid of the time lock.

I did see that RTD and DT were in Wales according to some tweets but i didn't hear that CT was doing anything until the Big Finish announcement and i'm sure that is going to be set sometime during series four. I wouldn't be opposed to a FoP revisit but i won't hold my breath.

I thought Missy sees the champions as competition for the Doctor's attention/affection. The Master is jealous. One example was when she vaporized poor Osgood right after the Doctor took an interest in her. It won't endear the Doctor to her but then Missy is mentally unstable. If Michelle Gomez wasn't playing the Master, she could have been the Rani. I know that was a rumor last series. Now I'm thinking they could make the Rani change gender too. I just want Donna to remember without dying. Rose was stuck in a parallel universe and she came back.

The Doctor is not very forthcoming when it comes to his past.
The Tenth Doctor mention in passing to Rose he was a grand-father once but didn't elaborate further. He admitted to Donna he had children only when she insisted he explain himself. Its hard to tell what the champions know about the Doctor. Amy and Clara knew about the time war but there was never a scene where the Doctor explain it to them. Apparently it was done off-screen.

I refuse to believe that Osgood is dead. I'm sure Missy has her holed up somewhere and teleported/transported her. I have never seen the Rani in action but also feel that the Master and Rani are similar in many ways.

"I just want Donna to remember without dying." Yes, anything to fix her retcon sans drugs.

That's the interesting thing about Twelve, he seems almost like a stranger even after an entire series. The show is too much about Clara and throwaway characters. I want to know more about the Doctor. I like Twelve but he seems so inaccessible. It really bothers me how much Moff just has companions mention personal details about the Doctor in passing. Even if the faithful viewers know, i just didn't feel like Eleven was unloading about certain things to Amy, let alone Clara. It if was off-screen then it didn't happen in a way.

"I refuse to believe that Osgood is dead."

Me too. It has now been confirm she will return!. That's something to look forward to.

The main reason I want Donna to get her memories back is so she knows her potential. She doesn't need to go back to the Doctor. In my head she will always belong be with the Tenth Doctor. That's one of the reasons why I read fan fiction.

I admit that the Twelfth Doctor is way different to his past incarnations. I don't know if it's intentional or not but I'm willing to disregard it because I have my own theories to why this is the case.

When he just regenerated he was disorientated and looked like he may have some selected memory lost. I'm still confused to why this Twelfth Doctor "hated soldiers" so much. It was sort of like the Tenth Doctor's " I hate guns" but seem more blunt to me.

I don't like being out of the loop on what the Doctor has or hasn't said to his champions, but maybe Moffat thought that was Rusty's thing.

I always thought that either it was the Zygon who had died or Missy has Osgood squirreled away working for her. I am excited to see her come back.

I agree with you about Donna. I originally wanted her back in the Tardis, but now i would be happy with her choosing not to go back, similar to how Martha did. So many things that happened with Eleven made me think of Donna, though, and i had theories that turned out to be wrong but could never let go of her.

It's clear that Twelve had or has memory loss and i'm hoping that will be dealt with. Clara lies so much that i wouldn't be shocked if she turned out to be the Doctor's daughter or granddaughter.
