It's been ages since I last made a post. I don't know, I've been really tired lately and have kept passing out around 7 or 7.30 pm the past week so I've pretty much just been at work and then as soon as I get home I've pretty much just fell asleep right away every night. ^^;;; I don't know if it's because the seasons are changing and we're hopefully heading from winter to spring soon! ^^
And even though I've been meaning to make posta sbout all my trips to Japan at some point I've never really gotten around to it, so I was thinking... I could do it today, at least a post about my last trip, which was in September of last year! I added all these photos to my facebook yesterday but figured that there might be someone over here as well who wants to see them and read about it. ^^
I have to mention, though, that all photos are taken with my iphone (I decided in the end to not even bring my camera on this trip) so the picture quality mightn't be that great but... oh well. We can't have it all. XD
The first picture is me waiting for the check-in desk to open up at Arlanda Airport. ALWAYS EARLY~
Obligatory Starbucks breakfast at Arlanda Airport! Caramel Frappuchino! ♥
I even got a smiley-face after my name on the plastic cup! :333
Me on my way with my many bags. XD
The first flight, before the transfer flight in Moscow. I travelled with Aeroflot and it worked out splendidly. The staff weren't, er, very prone to smiling, but it was a good and shorter travelling route than I'm used to so the flight time was shorter. The seats were comfortable and they had a nice entertainment system. It's too bad they have such a bad reputation... :(
though i couldn't stop laughing at the tiny loaf they served us for breakfast. XDDD How are one supposed to eat it? Seriously, I don't know. My japanese prepaid phone was only in the picture for size comparision! XD
Arrived at Narita, yey! I always take the Airport Limousine bus from the airport and into the city. The train is a bit faster, but idk... I still like the bus more. ^^
Tokyo Sky Tree has finally opened since I was there last time, in march-April! I've been looking forward to go up and see just how insanely high it really must be! Just look at the surrounding buildings - they're skyscrapers, all of them!! O__O
First evening in Tokyo! I was in Harajuku and then took a walk to Shibuya and then back again. Here I am in a backstreet from Shibuya to Yoyogi koen and ran into this billboard. :3 There were so many takitsuba billboards up this time, I just... ♥♥♥
I then headed back to Harajuku for dinner with
mirliz! ^^
Second day, at my hotel! You can see tokyo Tower from the window. :333
Breakfast buffet is included in the price in this hotel and waahh, they have such a tasty breakfast. They seriously have the tastiest miso soup I have ever had and the black algea salad is... *_*!
Elevator shot! XD I think i might've been out buying magazines...? I did that a lot on this trip. You will see proof of this later. XD
Kiddy Land in Omote Sando! They'd finally reopened their flagship store on the main street and it was perfect! I loved loved loved it!! Here is the stairs between to floors - just on my way tot he Rilakkuma and Hello Kitty floor!
And a Miffy stair for
lovespiral :333
Later that day I met up Rin-chan for dinner and shopping! Then we decided to head over to Sunshine mall in Ikebukuro and go to the Aquarium they have on the top floor! It was a really nice aquarium even though it was a bit small. I enjoyed it a lot - but then on the other hand I LOVE aquariums lol! XD
As you can see here, my goofy face is enjoying it a lot!
A fennec fox. Waahhh so adorable I want one. *_* I wonder if a fennec fox and a red panda would go well together! XD
Me and Rin-chan outside the aquarium!
Standard dinner from one of my favorite food chains! I love their food and it is super cheap!
As I said this was my second day. And this was my shopping so far! XD
Third day, third ego shot! In the hotel elevator!
Yet another takitsuba billboard! ♥
First concert day! ♥ All the takitsuba magazines on display in the magazine store outside Tokyo Doome!
Entry gate to Tokyo Dome.
A sign thingy outside Tokyo Dome with "greetings" from all their different work partners and whatnot like magazines, tv stations etc.
After we bought the goods me,
lovespiral and
pinkpapyrus headed to Akasaka for lunch. When we got back to the Dome area we stumbled across this takitsuba truck and flailed and squealed like mad while we at the same time tried to find our cameras and phones in our handbags to take a picture before it was too late. I managed to catch it right while it was turning. XD I think it was playing Koakuma Juliet?
Then we walked for a bit and it drove past us again. XD
In our hunt for doujinshi in Ikebukuro we also found this poster. Guest dancer Imai Tsubasa. We all squealed proudly. :3
Ice cream break at Baskin and Robbins! This mango float was so tastyyy~~~ Mango makes everything better!
A couple of days later me and
mirliz headed to the suburbs to have sushi at Kappa Sushi which is a super cheap kaiten-zushi chain which I enjoy a lot. AND CORN SUSHI! THEY HAVE CORN SUSHI. I love corn.
Thinly slized onion on slamon sushi is brilliant!
They also have small desserts that come on the conveyour belt! Here is a... surprise surprise, mango dessert I picked out! XD
I think this was my favorit page out og all the magazines that were released during their 10th anniversary rush! ♥♥♥ Cute cute cute!
Got my Rail Pass! It's really pretty! :3
I've been wanting to try their bubble teas for several years, even though I haven't really thought they look good. (Mainly because I thought there were beans floating around in them ha ha ha!) Then I found out it was tapioca jelly things and it still didn't feel all that appealing... but in the end I finally finally tried it. And didn't like it. So now I know. XDDD
I also tried this BB drink. Which I didn't like all that much either, but hopefully it was good for me!
Here is something I DO like a lot. Despite not liking alcohol all that much, I really do like umeshu, which is Japanese plum wine. It's very sweet - a bit like dessert wine, so a tiny glass is enough. But it's so tasty!
After their concerts they were in ALL the newspapers! ♥
And this was the best out of all the pictures. my handholding fetish keeps getting worse and worse. ♥♥♥
Some of the magazines! ♥
And magazines..... XDDD
Found this in the Roppongi Donki store! I had to!
Me and C-san decided to go to Tokyo Sky Tree one early day! It was a lot of people but not too bad! I think we stood in line for about... 40-45? minutes or something to buy our tickets?
From below!
View from the observatory deck.
More view! That white blob in the back is Tokyo Dome!
We made a stop at 100% Chocolate cafe outside Sky Tree to recharge! Tried some kind of soft cone with choclate mousse. It was good! :333
Dinner with Rin-chan one night. I'd never tried omurice before and she said I had to so...
...omurice it was!
And, surprise surprise! Mango dessert! XD
You have all kinds of surprising encounters in Yoyogi Koen! Here was a man with his pet own Kohaku! Kohaku was soooo cute! ♥
I realized quite early that the packing issue wasn't looking too good for me. So I bought a second suitcase! XD
Because Reasons.
On the 12th I headed to Sendai for takitsuba concert! (I still need to write a con report of that con but... wahhh traumatic! handhaking! ;__;) Anyway, the Shinkansen I took from Tokyo to Sendai was a Tsubasa shinkansen which was very amusing!
Tsu~Ba~Sa~
There are green areas in Japan as well!
Fukushima!
Met up
pinkpapyrus in Sendai when I finally arrived. We had ramen! I think it was some kind of Sendai speciality?
Then I didn't manage to take any more photos before my very last night when i was on my way home, when all the new Cosme ad's were up everywhere. Here is a cosmetics store window in the Ikebukuro subway!
And that was my Japan trip in short! I fail so much, I am so bad at remembering to take photo's! ;_; I mostly just remember when I'm sittign down eating, that's why there are so many photo's of food. XD
I hope I can start making these posts on time someday, and not... 5 months after it actually happened! XD
