Thoughts on takitsuba hiatus.
I might come off as utterly delusional and completely batshit here, but I don't really care. These are just my thoughts, and since everyone knows I am a complete and utter fujoshi when it comes to these two already I don't have to explain it or justify it or whatever. Just know that I firmly believe that

So, I've had many thoughts about the hiatus and I wondered and worried at least as much as everyone else did. I was also living in Japan as the hiatus was starting and going on, and it was really crushing sometimes to just... not have my beloved unit anymore. Because there kept coming news about solo activities again and again and again and it was really devastating for me who is first and foremost a unit fan. Damn it all, but I love this freakin' unit so much that it hurts sometimes. And I was terrefied that they were never coming back - I was insanely close to loosing hope those last few months.
Anyway, the hiatus. There have been speculations to left, right and center. A big fight, did they suddenly get shy around each other, did they get tired of each other, did Tsubasa need to spread his wings and see what he could do on his own... and probable many more.
For me, during the hiatus, and also when I think back on it, I feel like all I remember is this black hole of misery and... nothing-ness, unit wise. Like, when I've thought about it before, it's been completely miserable and I haven't been able to remember no unit things whatsoever.
But then, when I was in Japan last week, I started thinking... that it doesn't make sense. Neither of these things does. Like, they were so happy during their last tour before the hiatus (the premium tour). They were super excited, they had fun and they were insanely rabu rabu. Why would they suddenly just get shy after acting like that? The same was for their last pre-hiatus single, Koi Uta. The promo's for that single was amazing - they were fun, rabu rabu, they had fun together... everything was so good.
And then suddenly everything fell apart, and we had nothing for years. Is what i thought at first. And the only explanation for that wouldn've been that there had been some kind of fight or a big fall out of some kind.
The more I thought about this, though... I've started remembering how it wasn't at all as bad as I remember it. It wasn't a complete silence between them, which it should've been if there had been a fight... again, it doesn't make sense.
At first we had the Tsubasa World Wing Premium shows in 2008. When Takki visited on Tsubasa's birthday. And by some kind of pure luck, I managed to attend that show and... I've never seen them happier than I did that day. When Takki appeared on stage as the encore was about to start, he was smiling like there was no tomorrow. It was obvious that he was so happy to be there, to celebrate Tsubasa. And Tsubasa... Tsubasa was glowing.
They celebrated together, Takki had presents and cake, they HUGGED, like, Tsubasa couldn't stop himself so he just threw himself at Takki, being so extatic happy. It was lovely to see, since we'd already started worrying back then. I remember thinking as I left that theatre that day that it was impossible that there was anything off between them. They were both happier than I'd EVER seen them.
But the hiatus kept on going... but they kept talking about each other during the whole period. They kept mentioning each other and they kept visiting each other. I know for sure that Takki visited Tsubasa's Dance & Rock tour at least once in 2009, but I think he might've even gone twice? I was still in Japan then and sat just a few seats from where Takki was sitting together with his manager during that particular show, so I could clearly see his reactions as well. Tsubasa presented his "aikata" from stage, and even though Takki didn't go up on stage, it was also obvious that Tsubasa was very happy to have him there - his energy was really different from the other days shows! Takki was also smiling a lot in his seat, drumming along to the "Tsubasa call" and obviously enjoying himself. But most importantly - he was there! Tsubasa visited both Kakumei and Kabuki as well.
As for Tsubasa, he started already at the end of 2008 with including Takizaaa in his solo concerts. He first showed the "Samurai kakumei" video he made where he cosplayed Takki during the Tsubasanta lives around Christmas 2008! He kept showing that video during the whole tour, going on during early spring in 2009.
Takki also included Tsubasa a LOT in all his solo projects. He mentioned Tsubasa every other day during the first run of the Takizawa Kakumei play - if Tsubasa wasn't the skeleton that Takki kept crying over, he mentioned him in some other way. There is also the fact that all takki's solo singles are veeeeery takitsuba-rashii. they all have a very clear takitsuba sound and feel to them.
The ShaLaLa/Mugen no Hane single might just be speculations, but there is a fact that Takki suddenly released a song about "wings". And I must admit that this particular reason really is just a fujoshi's mind working over time buuuut.... the clock in the Mugen no Hane PV that stops on the time 9.11, just like the watch in the True Heart PV... it's something there as well. And like lovespiral reminded me, Takki also released With Love, which is the song that takitsuba wrote together back when they were juniors.
Annnnndd... a couple of years ago there was a rumour that appearently never really made it to the masses. There was something something about a staff member who worked with takitsuba who sais to one of the tabloid magazines that they'd seen something (?) in their dressing room that "proved" that they had a relationship. (Of course this makes my shipper heart dance with joy!)
Anyway, I don't know if it was never published for real or if it was just a rumour that never took a hold or whatever. But these kind of scandals are so rare and could really destroy a person completely, so I don't know... I just know there was talk about something like that for a while. But nothing real really came out of it...
But still, here is where my shipper brain goes into overdrive. What it there really was something there. What if they'd been close to being exposed, and got a real fright. What if it might've been so close that the Jimusho had to cover for them and they were told to go solo for a while until the thing had calmed down. What if it was a punishment from the Jimusho. Maybe they weren't allowed to work together, maybe they had to have a long cool off period for SOME reason we don't know?
But seriously, it can't have been a fight. Or shyness. Because if there was, they wouldn't have kept talking about each other, or visiting each other throughout the whole period. And they really did do that. *_* They never stopped doing it.
Because from what we can hear from the most recent Shounen Club premium, it seems from them that they only suddenly got really shy aorund each other. Why would they suddenly get shy, lol!? There should be at least SOME kind of shyness still lingering around now then as well, there should be some awkwardness still. But it's nothing there. Ever since they got back to working together, they've been so insanely happy, and they've obviously treasured every single moment of it like nothing else.
I can also remember Takki saying once, many years ago that he in reality didn't even want to do solo concerts at all... concerts were only for takitsuba. Of course that might've changed, and I think Takki's solo concerts sounds really awesome so nothing at all against them or him. It's just that I know he said that a few years ago. Hmmm...
The only thing that puts a damper on my theory is that they're so open and rabu rabu right now that it seems unbelievable that they'd be allowed to act this way. And idk... maybe it'd be something like how the one's who's not a rabu rabu fan would still write it off as fanservice. because it's pretty obvious they have a very fine line that they can't cross - not the both of them at once, at least! I don't know, I've just had such a difficult time making ANY sense out of any of this and this is the closest I could come after hours and hours and hours of thinking about it lol. XD
Most importantly though - I am so happy to have my unit back, even though they've been back a good while now. I am happy they are back together, happier than ever. I am so happy that they have each other.
I... think I'm done (being delusional) now. Maybe. If you can come up with any more instances or whatever with them interacting or talking about each other or whatever during their hiatus, please help me refresh my memory! :33333
