This weekend has been so so wonderful and I'm so happy and thankful to all my beautiful friends that made it into such a great one! ♥
We finally had our long awaited hanami! And it was so much fun and I enjoyed this whole weekend so so much!
On Friday night I went to meet up
therese_chan at Stockholm's Central station and ahh, it's always so so lovely to see her!! ♥♥♥ We headed to my place and chatted for a while until we realized the time was about 2 o'clock and we figured that maybe we should actually get some sleep since we had a whole bunch of stuff to do on Saturday morning before we had to head out for the hanami...
In the end I couldn't at all decide what food I was going to make for the hanami and... I ended up doing EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF and I have
Since everyone else brought food too... this is not even half of everything we had on the picninc. On this picture you can see a sea of strawberries, wakamegoma (algea salad), different vegetables, edamame beans, a version of karaage (fried chicken), small riceballs rolled in tamago furikake, rice daifuku (japanese sweets), eggstrands, inari sushi, a swedish take on sushi made with bread and salmon, and a greensalad with sesame dressing.
Here you can also see parts of my legs in my too short skirt lol. ^^;;; AND EVEN MORE FOOD. There is sesame-marinated cucumber salad and small fried sasauges on sticks! And there was also a whole bunch of other stuff but I was a total spazz and forgot to take any more pictures. Total fail. I didn't even manage to take a single photo of anyone who was there. :/ Fail, fail, fail.
Other than the food mentioned above we also had home made mochi (Japanese sweets), home made meronpan (sweet bread), okonomiyaki (japanese pancakes) that we warmed up on a grill and a baked maccha cheesecake, smörgåstårta (a Swedish delicacy - sandwich cake), nutella pancakes, bread, pasta salad... and a whole bunch of sweets and other stuff. Seriously, it was a never ending orgy of tasty food. While we were of course admiring the blooming sakura trees and contemplating the beautiful life and how fleeting it is. Well. ^_~
I really really want to thank everyone who made it to the hanami - in the end there was eleven of us and I had so much fun! I surround myself with the most wonderful people, I really do! ♥ So thak you everyone for making a great and tasty hanami even more fun and even more tasty! ♥♥♥
When it was getting too cold for us to stay outside, a few of us headed for some karaoke and when we'd sang for what felt too short a time we went back to my place and me and
therese_chan had some snacks and started watching Kanjani8's EightxEighters DVD, which I absolutely LOVED! It was so much fun and it was great to get to hear so many of their "new" songs (new to me at least, since I haven't seen pretty much anything with them for a long time!) I loved Subaru's solo in the odd red bird/devil costume and it felt odd to almost be reduced to tears by the song while at the same time lauging at his clothes so much that you don't know what to do with yourself. I really really enjoyed the whole concert and that made me realize that I really need and want to start catching up with other Johnny's again... a few years ago I knew what all the groups were up to at all times, nowadays I'm only really keeping up with takitsuba only. Of course takitsuba is prio, but I want to start listening to the others songs and watch PVs and concerts again... it's been too long since I stopped keeping up with them all.
We finished the eito DVD and somehow we also managed to find the time to watch takitsuba's OUR FUTURE DVD, and I still can't get over how wonderful it is, and how much I enjoy it and how much I love them and uwaahhhh! I love every single thing about that concert, I honestly do! *_* And it was wonderful to finally, finally get to Johnny's spazz together with
therese_chan again! It's been much too long since we did and it was as lovely as always! I love it that we're still as delusional and spazzy when we meet! XDDD
I'm super tired now - it's been a great, great weekend but it's also been pretty intense what with all the cooking and all that fresh air from Saturday and then karaoke'ing and then total and utter Johnny's spazzing for hours and hours! I feel happy and recharged though, and since I now have two weeks of loads of work (two weeks of 6 workdays each) coming up I think this was the best possible way to spend this weekend! ^^
