Well, once again I find myself mentioning to anyone who'll still listen that EUGENE! THE MUSICAL is almost completed. And, once again, I feel the need to add an "I'm serious this time" to it.
However, I am serious, Eugene! The Musical is almost done. Well, sorta. The book and lyrics are almost done, and should be ready in a few days, barring mad unproductivity or more onsets of Dillonitis.
Fred's in charge of orchestrating it, and hopefully he can do that in a rather expedient fashion. Otherwise, we're sorta fucked over at LCC.
Aaron's gonna start looking for a possible replacement composer should Fred fall into his routine of not finishing things for months.
Although I'd much rather work with him.
So, a list of what we need to do now is as follows:
-We need to finalize a tune for about four things, although we've got good ideas for all of them.
-We need to do the reprise of "Conflicted", but that'll take about an hour once Dillon's sent me the original. 'Cause reprises are easy like that.
Then the hard part.
We need to write "Rally The Troops", Mr. Mayor's big battle hymn for his death scene, and more importantly, we need to write "Reflections", the big finale of the show.
Bonus is, today we came up with a hilarious way to end the show, but I'd rather keep it a surprise for people once we've finished a draft.
That's about it. I'm gonna head upstairs and try to write the little epilogue bit, so Dillon will only have to run through it, making it all pretty-like, but I'm probably just going to crash.
Updates when we have them, talk to you all later.
-Jeff
