It officially reached that unspoken amount of time where I realize there are sites I told myself to check more often, and forgot about.
Not that livejournal is one of those places. No, of course not.
I don't actually have anything exciting to post about. I mean, it's the end of the school year. You know what the end of the school year invites? Work. Yaaaay work.
Teachers conveniently forget that we'll be busy studying for finals besides their own, and love to assign two billion projects due at the same time. But hey! That's all fine and dandy. That's why we had our first nine years of school to teach us how to become expert procrastinators! Or even better as I've learned, simply figuring out how many assignments you can not do in a class and still get an A. Win!
In either case, school remains successful at turning my mind into nothing more than a calendar, dictating my life by what's due when and how much time I need to spend on it. Therefore, the important things - drawing, writing, reading in my spare time, video games, etc are forced at the bottom of priorities.
However, for drawing, I of course attempt to squeeze that in the most. I returned to deviantart because it turns out I can get community service hours for being there. Go figure.
For writing, well...I record almost all my ideas in notebooks, and I recently lost the one I had started. Which is really unfortunate, because it had a lot of information in it already. Creating languages is hard. So I've kind of lost motivation to start rewriting all that for now.
For reading, I read King Dork not too long ago. Very funny book, although not very impressionable at the end. The conclusion just left something to be desired. Started off great though.
I also read The Looking Glass Wars, which is a nifty spin off of Alice and Wonderland. Or rather, while the ideas are very good, the writing is a bit too simple sometimes. It just seems like something that should have been written in twice as many pages to really get the story told well.
I started the sequel to that; Seeing Redd. It's not captivating me enough to read it like it's processor, but I imagine I will sometime anyways.
And of course there's all the books we read for school. Those aren't important |:
Although Borges is pretty damn awesome.
Video games...well, I've returned to playing Prince of Persia, which is of course awesome. You get to run around, run straight up a wall, flip backwards, kill someone while throwing a weapon to kill someone all the way across the area. Yep, he's just THAT awesome.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8JiVHl4P1G4The controls are really confusing though. Considering they're Wii remotes I'm using, naturally I find them confusing.
And you know what game has really pretty music? Spyro >8| (A new beginning)
I actually believe I had mentioned giving you some music last time you were down here, Myranda....hmm...I'm creating a CD to send to my friend in Texas tomorrow. I'll put that here as well.
Anyways...what else.
Ah, I saw the Iron Man movie, and it was like...the coolest thing ever.
And I saw the new Narnia movie, and it was like...not. I want to strangle the script writers for that movie, or at least hide what ever drugs they're on while they work on the next one.
Oh, have you had any time to watch another Death Note episode, Myranda? Well, Pepper and I watched the live action movie version the past few days. It was also spiffy, although the anime is better.
Oh yes, and Pepper and I will both be going to Innerspark this summer. Which is nifty. I get to let my brain rot away to the art of animating stuff. Awesome!
Anyways, I'll end with this: Sketch dump of characters, for the win. (Right-click; View image)
