straight to the shin

So the idea was to enjoy a nice Saturday off after working 6 days in a row. A Saturday when there were actually waves. The day started off great, much from the previous night. So I was a little hung over, a little high, and had gotten laid a couple times, the perfect way to start a day of skimming. Though it was to come to a halt when I wrapped the nicest wave of the day. The moment I turned to ride that puppy back to shore, Mike and his board we're the first thing I saw before his board collided with my legs. My only words to him were "Are you fucking crazy?" I walked out of the water only to notice my left legged gashed open and my right one too, pouring a brown waterfall of blood. Its gushed out until I made it to the life guard stand, whtere they wrapped me up and told me I needed stitches. I drove myself to Jackson ER and waited 9 hours for stitches. What a waste of a day off. Luckily Eddy covered for me on Sunday so I could get some rest after the long day. If I had a camera I would take pictures but lord knows I don't know where my camera is. Five stitches total, 3 in the left and 2 in the right. Not too bad, but better than if they were all on the same leg. I guess I was overdue for an injury, considering I've been skimming a good 7 years and never really suffered anything major, side that time Rick and I decided to play chicken on the skimboards in Daytona... I should be back at the beach Saturday, whether these stitches are still on or not. See you all on the sand.
