Sorry

It's been a long time; I know.

Classes this semester are alright. French IV is a lot of fun because we just end up chatting in class since there are only 4 of us. Physics is good too, because my teacher teaches the good way, which is to say, he introduces a concept for about 5 minutes and does examples the rest of class. At least, I learn pretty well that way. Calculus is silly. I hate infinite series and sequences and would much rather be integrating. Hardware is the most blow-off class ever, which makes it great. Java is stupid because not only does my teacher hardly teach, but what she does teach is extremely limited in scope and, as I am told by friends, wrong. Studies of the English Language is a really fun and interesting class. Dr. Hall is a great guy to have a class with.

I've been running the Computer Science Club and might eventually do something with Quiz Bowl if I can ever get in touch with Feske. The first LAN Party for the Comp. Sci. Club is tentatively scheduled for Saturday the 20th to Sunday the 21st of October.

I'm going on the Japan special project! Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. I'm really excited about it. I think the number of us going is nearing thirty. But it's alright because it means I'll end up just spending all my time talking to my friends that are going and hanging out with them. There aren't many weird creepy anime people going (if any at all) which means we don't have to spend that much time in Akihabara. Hoorah!

I got my Warlock to 70 a few weeks ago. Regul on Burning Legion if you didn't know already.

College apps are awful and I've hardly even started. I'm going to be applying to:
  • Case Western Reserve University
  • Carnegie Mellon University
  • University of California-Berkeley
  • University of California-Irvine (same app, why not?)
  • Georgia Tech
  • University of Louisiana-Lafayette
So there you go. Georgia Tech's is due October 31st for the President's Scholarship (the full ride), but luckily it requires no input on the part of the unreliable LSMSA counselors.

My roommate has a 30 or so inch plasma screen that we've been playing Halo 3 on. His hard drive was in Houston, so we haven't bothered with campaign yet, but I imagine that's what this week will be for. The gravity hammer is, by far, the best weapon ever conceived to be put in a video game ever.

Speaking of video games, as far as I can tell, I'm the best Smash Brothers player at school. Hoorah, gentlemen.

Bolded (emboldened?) Lulz.) for your convenience.

wow, school, halo 3, college, college apps
