OMG NOW OPEN?!
Went to Kingfish tonight. It's the restaurant that has replaced Burgerbee's (which wasn't that good, but they were so poor you felt good giving them money). It just happened recently and there are bees all over everything. It's a little bit depressing if you remember Burgerbee's.
Sadface :(
There is no such thing as a kingfish. This restaurant is a lie, because putting a crown on a catfish does not change his species. However, there is a bird called a kingfisher. They look nothing like catfish at all. They do look a lot like seagulls though, just not as goofy. I'm pretty sure they aren't whimps like seagulls either, who constantly run away from you. Seagulls were the source of many childhood disappointments.
Those pretentious seagulls!
Right right. So I ordered a burger, WHICH I TOTALLY TOOK A PICTURE OF TO PRESERVE THE LOOK OF ITS DELICIOUSNESS-OCITY!
Good burger, folks. Good burger right there.
Since Kingfish is not Magee's, it is automatically way up there on the awesome scale, but their catifsh is a lot cheaper too. The portions are generally really filling, the burgers are pretty fantastic, and it's a bit closer to Prudhomme, which is nice. Plus, the people working there aren't bitter Northwestern students. I think that on the burger scale, where 1 burger represents an awful restaurant and 10 represent a great restaurant, Kingfish is about a 7.
However! I would not reccomend going without shoes!
My feet were cold.
