my little boy is getting old
cliff is so old now, all he does is sleep. he only comes out of his little house once in a while to have a drink or something to eat. he doesn't really run on his wheel anymore. it's when it gets to this point it gets hard. you should leave them alone, and just let them sleep, cause they don't really have the energy to play. but at the same time you want spend as much time as possible with them, cause you don't know how much time they have left
cliff is 2 years and 8 months old. that's VERY old for a hamster. their average age is 1 and a half - 2 years. but of course they can, like all living creatures, get older
i've had one that lived to the ripe old age of 3 before. and i've heard of some that lived to the age of 4 and 5!!
i just had him out, to cuddle him a little, and he could hardly stay awake. so i put him back in his cage, and he went back to sleep
