(no subject)
So, the weekend a week and a half ago was spent like this: Friday night, eating chocolate and watching films at Molly's house. Saturday night: Pikelet launch at my house - amazing show.
The past week has been spent with very little plans but a lot of good times. Thursday night I had dinner with Jimmy at Tiba’s and then went to Ol and Tayls’ place for drinks with them, El, Han, Georgie and Ralph. Afterwards we went to the GB for more drinking. Sung Beastie Boys karaoke and smoked cigars… it was pretty fun. Got shitty photobooth photos with Olly, which I look forward to seeing sober.
Friday I cancelled work and had a productive day involving picking up a futon mattress, doing my washing, fixing a puncture, and then going to meet Dad in the city. We had a few beers at a pub in town before going to Wagamamas for awesome Japanese food. Then we went over to the MCG for the Collingwood game. It was the first time I’ve been to a sporting event since I was much younger, but it was really fun. Good game.
Afterwards met Molly in the city before coming home and just hanging out. Had a really nice night, Woke up to Jimmy’s homemade organic breakfast (incredible) before lying in bed with Molly until 3 watching Arrested Development, eating fudge and drawing on my walls. I love her.
After Molly went home I went to the internet café and met up with Juz and Tim. Announced the fact that I am touring La Quiete in October (yeah, I am, hadn’t mentioned that yet, it’s going to be fun/stressful) and then went into the city with them. Bought a Boss TU-2 chromatic tuner from Allans (they have a big sale on) for $140 which I was pretty happy about. Then went to Missing Link and we hung out with Tara. We all (minus Tim) went and got dumplings at Shanghai, and then Tara and I went to Fraus for amazing hot chocolate. Went home, met Juzzy, Tim and Jimmy at my place and then rode to Abbotsford for some warehouse party. It was heaps of fun. Bang!Bang!Aids ruled, The Night Terrors SERIOUSLY blew my mind, Talkshow Boy was awesome, the crazy, strangely sexual animation screening on one of the walls was fun to watch really stoned. The fact that we were able to get a maxi and put our bikes in the back of it ruled, and the fact that Macca payed for the cab ruled. Really fun night.
Right now there’s a Camp Betty facilitation workshop taking place in the room below me run by Nat and I’m just chillin’ in my room listening to tunes. Fun times. It’s four o’clock and all I’ve done so far is wake up and steal groceries. (This was at Sunday, 4pm...)
