So I’m writing this in a word document as I’m sitting in my new house which is currently internetless (I have a local cafe that is kind’ve a dyke hangout with free wireless though - it’s the best), and as a result I cant remember what my last entry was… but I’ll wing it.

Adelaide was so much fun. Drove over in a car with Tim and Bridget and Felix and it was ridiculously cramped. Got to Adelaide and hung out at Izzy’s place for a while before getting our drink on. Did you know there are about a dozen different kinds of Coopers? It’s amazing. Anyway, then we went to Rocket Bar which was a really dccent venue but kind’v too nice for us. Anyway, Nessun Dorma weren’t very good, we played a set that I thought went terribly but was apparently alright (we played a brand new song, too) and then Robotosaurus played and blew everybody away. Fim spent the ten minutes before the set vomiting though, and had to play three quarters of the set lying down. He had food poisoning and had to go to hospital. Crazy.

Then we went to a bar called Super Mild or something and drank for a while with Jesse from The Rivalry and Ross Y&R and a bunch of other kids. Good times. Sean and I got a lift home from Dave which was an added bonus.

Next day we woke up and went to the city, bought records at Big Star and had amazing sushi (pumpkin and honey!!!). Then we bought a whole bunch of vegies and tofu and stuff and went home and made an amazing salad and drank more beer in Izzy’s backyard. Then we caught taxis to the Exeter, drank some more and then watched Thunderclaw who were the best. Then we played a set that was a whole lot of fun but completely shit at the same time. But these things happen, and we learn things like ‘Cal and Sam need new pedals and need to bring their heads/amps to shows’.

After the show Bridge and I watched an amazing busker for about an hour. Seriously reckon he was the best I’ve ever seen. He played a steel guitar and had an egg shaker in one hand, played a bass drum with his right foot, a high hat with his left and he played mouth organ and sung, and he did really awesome versions on stuff like Dirty Old Town, with crazy syncopated rhythms and stuff. Fucking good. Ended up at Rocket Bar again after that drinking Jagerbombs and dancing and taking stupid photos with Tara and just generally being drunk. Drove home the next morning and stopped to take photos at the giant koala and eat chips in depressing country towns.

In other news…

- I’m in the warehouse, it needs work but is going to be amazing, we’ve already done heaps since we’ve been here. Stage is finished, my room’s almost finished being set up, fairy lights are up in the house. There are three shows coming up in the next fortnight, The Evens on Monday night, Needletail’s last show on Sunday arvo (25th) (with us, Eucalypt, Majorca and These Hands Could Separate The Sky) and Camera Obscura from Scotland the Monday after that (26th). THEY’RE ALL ALL AGES.

- Have been partying a lil’ too hard lately. Last night was spent drinking with Ol, Tayls, Jasper and Matt in South Yarra and then ending up skating at Prahran skatepark at 2am. GOOD TIMES.

- Valentine’s Day was really special. Molly and I had a picnic and then went to some exhibition in Hosier Lane and then hung out on a rooftop.

- The TRI-STATE CARNI-CHOOCH FESTIVAL is all systems go. March 17/18 at Lanfranchis in Sydney. It’s a collaboration between me (Tiny Mice), Hand Clappin’ and Choochabahn. Lineup is almost complete and includes… Kiosk, Hit The Jackpot, Fabulous Diamonds, Always, Naked On The Vague, Tragic/Athletic, Quebec, The Stabs, Turnpike, Say Cheese And Die, Eucalypt, Ohana, and heaps more. www.myspace.com/tristatecarnichoochfestival for details!!

- Monday night saw Chlo and I get far too drunk at Public Bar off $1 pots. Good times. Will be back soon, no doubt.

- My travelling plans are becoming more immediate and completely different to what was originally planned. But in a really good way. Going away for a few weeks in September now, to South East Asia. Then hopefully going somewhere else for 6 weeks over Summer.

- Bike riding around Brunswick is the best. Especially whilst stoned. Wednesday night, after seeing Molly, I saw Cal on the train home and ended up popping round to the Quehouse to catch up with them all, and finally left, completely baked, and rode along Sydney rd freaking out. It was the funniest/scariest.

++++++++++++++

Okay, so I didn’t post this when I thought I would so here’s some more updates. Friday was spent working on the house and buying pot from the guy around the corner. That night I went to Chlo’s place and we made risotto and got stoned and then went to Prudence with Andrew, Mikey and Lala and then came home, smoked some more and watched Arrested Development. Then in the morning we had breakfast at Hot Poppy before I dragged myself home in the heat. Saturday evening I rode my bike to the city and saw Music & Lyrics with Molly, then we rode home and got pizza, then went to a party on Barkley Street that was pretty good. Next morning I got up and went to work in Frankston, and I am now on the train on my way home (after working Monday, too). IAN MACKAYE IS CURRENTLY AT MY HOUSE. I’ll post this tomorrow, maybe with a review of the Evens show. (EDIT: WILL POST REVIEW LATER).
