It seems that everytime I come here to post something these days I go "eh, too hard" or something, because it ends up becoming a matter of weeks before I post an update. And in that time more and more has happened and it means I post a longer and longer entry and ugh, nobody reads it. Oh well. When I first started this blog, way back in 2004, I began writing more or less everything I did. And I kinda feel now that unless I keep doing that I don't really wanna keep it up. But we'll see.

I am moving out on Wednesday. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. There are currently four shows lined up for the space, 3 'confirmed', 1 not yet, all being headlined by amazing (international) bands. I'm excited. We are having a cafe in the space that will be run by the tenants. There'll be a zine library in the warehouse, a bar on nights when there are shows, a bike co-op, and it'll generally just be a really great place to be.

Last weekend I went and saw My Disco at the Espy. It was way too fucking crowded but they were damn fine. Also caught Young & Restless who were quite good at what the did (which wasn't really my thing, but still), and the end of Batrider, who were great. The rest of the night was spent drinking red wine in the beer garden. Afterwards Molly, Charlotte, Tessa, myself and a guy with red hair all caught a taxi to the city, went to Ding Dong, did tequilla shots and ended up eating pizza until the first train back to Charlotte's house. GOOD TIMES.

The next day was spent lazily laying about on the grass above the beach in Mt Eliza with about 15 of us, havin' a picnic, listening to the radio, drinking a few beers and smoking a few joints. It was a really good relaxing day.

Sunday night I went to Jess' 18th at some place on Brunswick St and spent the night also drinking red wine and talking about saxaphonists.

Monday I visited Molly at work and had coffee with Jimmy at Switchboard. Then Molly came round for dinner and we went to the beach.

Other stuff lately has included working, having a haircut, saving money and feeling fat.

Tonight I listened to a whole bunch of new-ish Melbourne bands that I am digging. Ian Wadley has a bunch of new projects and one in particular, St Helen, are really cool. Speaking of good Melbourne bands, tomorrow night at Spoon everyone should come and see Magnetics (Ben from My Disco/AOA/Blarke Bayer + Sarah from The Focus) and Bone Sheriff (Robert from Grey Daturas/Whitehorse + others). It's a benefit show for the zine library that'll be in the warehouse, plus it'll just be an awesome show at an awesome place with awesome food.
