Even though communism is long gone, Russia seems to be heading back towards being an " evil" country. Just, for no reason. Like they're Pokoponia or Pottsylvania or something. From serial killers to Chechnya to fascist youth gangs to the mob, Russia is determined not to lose its villain status just because

But Leonard, you've overlooked Russia's other EVIL doings of the past few years: Holding prisoners indefinitely without trial or formal charges, invading a sovereign nation without due cause, squalid conditions in hospitals for their wounded troops, commutation of sentences for fairly convicted government officials--oh, wait. Did you say Russia?

Stalinism was more Stalin than -ism, if you know what I mean. Lots of countries are socialist without being evil, and Russia won't stop being evil even though they are no longer pretending to be communist.
