Some really great stuff in there, including a swell sketch by Dan Brereton of Sam Spade, drawn precisely after Hammett's description of him as a "pleasant blond Satan".

The Bukowski is hysterically on the nose. It sets the groundwork for a great Satyrday morning cartoon. Marlowe's dimple favors Kirk Douglas. And, unfortunately, I now have the image of Arte Johnson as Ignatius Reilly after listening to the book-on-tape. Victor Buono would have been ideal.
