Pole time!
Longtime obssessive readers of my LiveJournal may remember that I have a set of vintage Pepsi glasses from the '70s featuring DC superheroes, and that, due to my deep-seated hatred of Aquaman, I like to drink soda out of the Aquaman glass and pretend that he is drowning in a tank full of motor oil.
Well, last night, having run out of Fresca and being too lazy to go get the carton of Canada Dry out of my car, I filled the Aquaman glass full of ice and opened up an old 2-liter bottle of diet Dr. Pepper. Immediately upon drinking it, I learned it was so old that it had gone completely flat and was additionally syrupy and gross. So I instantly poured it down the drain, and actually said out loud, "You've won this round, Aquaman!"
