How the hell did I get here? Approximately two years ago, I was coming back from LA and I was ecstatic that I had met K-OS on an airplane. Today I got a call from Angela asking me if I wanted to help the Art Department for his next video! And the director is Drew Lightfoot, who I really admire! He's been doing stop-motion animation since he was like, 12 years old. He did animation for The Corpse Bride. He directed this Guster video, which aside from the Floria videos is my favourite at Revolver.
Yesterday I worked on a music video, tomorrow I start work on a 2-day commercial, next week is the K-OS video, as well as a video directed by Lil X... I remember myself in high school, feeling trapped and angsty, desperately wanting out, dreaming of more, and here it is. Here I am in my apartment in Toronto, working for Revolver Films. Who would have thought it could happen, I don't know if I ever thought I could actually come this far. I am so grateful for overwhelmingly everything.
