MMR Side-Effects

May 21, 2009 17:37

So, I had to go to the doctor for a smear test (ugh) & told her about my unhappy Bean.

She asked me when her last vaccinations were (they have two on the same day: the MMR & another booster for something they had earlier) as side-effects typically show up at 7-10 days after they are done.

I quote from a medical advice site: About a week to 10 days after the MMR immunisation some children become feverish and they may develop a measles-like rash and go off their food. This is because the measles part of the vaccine is starting to work.

Um... 7 days later falls on Sunday, when she was very off-colour all morning, flushed & hot, off her food, until I dosed her with painkillers & we took her out to see the birdies, & she's not been right since then.

OH PLEASE let it just be that, & she perks up by the weekend!
