The Rave Ups "Positively Lost Me"
You lost a lot when you lost me you lost a lot when you lost me six paper back books and a dying tree you lost a lot when you lost a lot when you lost me six paper back books and a dyin tree, a lookin glass and a diamond ring you lost a lot when you lost me six paperback books and a dying tree a looking glass and a dimaond ring you lost me and you lost some dreams
you lost your cool you lost your keys and then you lost the sense of honesty
two blankets and a book shelf piece two blankets and a bookshelf piece a picture frame and a couple keys two blankets and a bookshelf piece a picture frame and a couple keys to a couple doors that I won't see Two blankets and a bookshelf piece a picture frame and a couple keys to a couple doors that I won't see you lost a lot when you lost me.
you lost my face you lost my laugh and then you lost my confidence.
you remember earth when there is no moon and the boys couldn't come at the studio
well you win some smiles and you answer phones and the kind of romance that's on eleven toes
you lost a lot when you lost me.
you lost a lot when you lost me you lost a lot when you lost me six paperback books and a dying tree you lost a lot when you lost me six paperback books and a dying tree a looking glass diamond ring you lost a lot when you lost me six paperback books and a dying tree a looking glass and a diamond ring you lost a lot when you lost me.
you lost my face you lost my laugh and then you lost my confidence.

What I love about this song...aside from its clearly idiosyncratic lyrics...is the fact that almost no one knows who the Rave Ups are...so I feel like it is my little secret. Because really, who pays attention to bands in John Hughes movies? I do. Oh...I do.
