yeah, it's kind of weird that there aren't many (any?) AU type things. Although maybe there's some sort of minimum size of fandom for that to get going in, maybe? hm, I dunno. It just seems like AU-fics tend to flourish in massively huge fandoms like SGA and Harry Potter. Maybe because all the canon ideas get used up until they're cliche's and there's nothing left? Interesting to think about.
Anyway I'm not much of a writer of those kind of AU's (the new setting) ones, though I plot bunny "What if" type ones like crazy. But then I think about our really frakkin' long hiatus and I know I'm going to be desperate for new ideas -- so I think it'd be cool!
