the start of something fun
i feel kind of bad for using lj only to read about other people and never updating my own life. but yesterday i had a brainstorm! i'm going on a lot of small vacations this year instead of one big summer one (since i'm moving at the end of the summer anyway). so, my lj will now become my mini-travelogue. who's excited?!
Part 1
I'm going to consider Easter vacation as part one. I went home for ten days! It was awesome for several reasons. First reason: baby Dorothy : ) I got to meet my niece and she is the sweetest baby around since... probably since me lol. Second reason: calendar magic. Because of the Easter holiday, and working for a Catholic school in Massachusetts, I was home for ten days, 2 of those were paid holidays, 3 of them were paid vacation days and the rest were just regular weekends, score! Third reason: I got to see a lot of Brock. He works a lot so its hard to go on actual dates when I'm there but he came over to Christie's almost every night, I got to spend a couple nights at his place, and we got lots of snuggles in. He really likes Dorothy and she seems to really like him too. When we weren't babysitting we also went to the zoo, played the first disc golf of the season, and squeezed in meeting each others' parents. I also got to see where he works and then borrowed his car to go to the MOA during one of his shifts. First time going to the Mall of America by myself, it was weird, but also kind of relaxing just wandering around peoplewatching and shopping for things without the burden of deciding if I could afford them or not (cuz i was temporarily totally broke). Also, I got to see Kate's new apartment and meet Sergio. They both seem like good fits.
