truly.. i remember wanting to switch schools and do what she did when i was in like the 3rd grade haha. it opened up doors to lots of things later in life, who would have thought..
I used to watch Just One of the Guys all the time, too. I was fascinated by it for some reason that I could probably psychoanalyze to death now, but at the time was just a love for a fun movie. I really wanted to be friends with Terry and Rick.
Cool poster! - I obviously need to watch more films because some of them I've never seen. Re: Transgender identity - How do you like the manga Wandering Son?
I have tragically never seen Victor/Victoria, although I would really love to. I found Thoroughly Modern Millie and it was my first time seeing Julie Andrews during her heyday in anything other than the Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.
Sadly, I can only really recognise Yentl and Eowyn (not counting 12th Night because obviously - have you see She's the Man? I actually quite like that as an adaptation. Not super subtle, but it has its moments)
Sylvia looks sexy though. I always thought Doris Day looked great as Calamity Jane as well, and I love that smart suit she wears for her 'Secret Love' scene, but perhaps otherwise it's not a great film for subverting gender stereotypes!

I remember they used to show that movie on TV ALL THE TIME when I was a kid. Such a strange, great film.
