so!
alexandriabrown and I are in the wilds of Toronto, after having adventures today. we (well, I drove, but she was with me) drove from my place to Toronto, checked into our hotel, and then drove to Stratford to go see MacBeth, starring Colm Feore and Geraint Wyn-Davies. the play was lovely - it's not one of my favourites, but it was well done and the acting and the pacing were both quite superb. it was a modern staging, which both of us were less than entirely thrilled with, but overall it was a good show and I'm glad we went.
then we (I, with her in the car) drove back to Toronto and got stuck in horrendous traffic, which meant that we didn't get into our rooms until 1. now, we had an enormous brunch at noon at Denny's, but we ran out of time to eat any other meal today, which meant that I am currently chowing down on room service. I always feel decadent ordering room service, but, honestly, after paying for both rooms, parking, and this meal, I have still spent less than this room normally costs. (ahaha, the rack rate is $399! thank you, Hotwire.) I am having a lovely cheese plate with crackers and baguette and fruit and ice water, and if I eat all of this I will explode, but it's just hitting the spot. I was hungry, but not starving, and really didn't want to eat something _too_ heavy right before bed. the brie really is divine, though.
"right before bed" sort of presumes that I am going to be able to finish my
smallfandomfest story within the next hour or so, which I desperately hope I can do, because it is due - well, today. so, yeah. not punking out on this! *fish of fury*
now I just have to stop freaking procrastinating and actually write. sheesh.
