Stephen Frears said that in an interview I just watched, and wow, do I ever agree. I think that's probably why I'm so partial to humour, and to stories and movies and shows that inspire me, or create joy, or just make me laugh. it's easy to beat someone over the head with a "lesson," or to make something that exists only to be admired for it's own artistry but has no actual heart or soul to it.
I spent almost my entire day off catching up on my sleep, but, well, I didn't have any actual plans, so no worries. tomorrow I need to clean and vacuum and do housekeeping-type things, since it's been ages since I've tackled anything more vigorous than laundry or dishes.
tonight I am going to attempt to finish writing the story that kept me up so late last night. and be thankful I finished tagging all of my freakin' fic, since that took me eight. hours. straight. yesterday. seriously. that's crazyness.
