Gay marriage legalised in Argentina

This is so amazing. First country in Latin America to legalise gay marriage, and it's just a couple of hours and 15 bucks from here! Argentina, I know you and I aren't always on the best of terms, but really, congratulations. You've made me so happy today. *squee*
Also, the fact that my parents are there right now celebrating their 20th anniversary is...ironic? Poetic? Amusing? Yeah, I don't even know what to call it, but I'm chuckling. xD Heheh, first thing I did was text my girlfriend and ask her to run off with me to Buenos Aires for the weekend. Now that would be U-Hauling xD
I have to admit I was hoping Uruguay'd be the first, but hey, surely we can't be that far behind. Now, Pepe (Mujica, our president), c'mon, just a little push for a bill to be introduced? Pretty please?
On other news, today I was chasing a friend to throw water on her face (what? She started it!) and she shielded herself behing another friend, who quickly said "look! a platypus! in order to distract me.
...I looked, and it took me a minute to understand what happened.
On my defense I'd like to say that I've seen weirder things at college before, and today fashion students were making their final projects. xD
