So im in an extraordinarily long line at the dominicks, and the older guy infront of me (reeking of old beer and is solely purchasing a 12 can fridge back of mgd) keeps turning around and faces in my direction as if to pretend hes looking past me. and its very uncomfortable. this is for at least a 15 minute wait in line

oh yeah. sadly. that sort of stuff happens more often that youd think. not in a mocking way though...in a very sincere, "oh i bet shell find that charming or comforting" sort of way. i dont know which is worse.

I was thinking about this and I don't think it's because you live in a queer bubble because I've had some queers say fucked up racial things to me too, which always makes me feel worse because I always just assume certain people have my same politic.
