(no subject)
SAT IIs this morning--Literature and French.
Lit went pretty well, I thought--there were a few questions I was absolutely stumped on, but for the most part it was doable. The funniest thing was, I was so afraid of running out of time (because everyone I've talked to says that the challenge is not running out of time) that I actually finished with a good 15-20 minutes to spare! Of course, there were questions I had to go back and check on, but I was basically done in 45 minutes! I was glad to have time to check over my work.
I finished French in around 35 minutes. WTF? Ehh, whatever. I just hope this isn't a false sense of security.
So, I went on a real shopping spree today (I owe Joanna $85, which is basically how much money I've spent since FEBRUARY) and bought a prom dress ($10) and a dress for the concert ($15) and a bra to go with both of them ($50). Yes, the bra cost twice as much as both dresses combined. Oy. But I'm stealing Joanna's shoes for prom and wearing my own sandals for the concert, so no shoe-expenses.
Then I got my ears pierced. Funny story about that--I went to Claire's in the Arsenal Mall with Joanna, and they refused to do it because a) I was under 18, b) I needed a parent there, and c) I needed a government-issued ID (School ID wasn't good enough). So we said, OK, whatever, walked 100 feet away to a jewelry kiosk called Silver City, and got it done for $10 more than Claire's price, no questions asked. Hehehe.
