Lucy's Diary

I seem to keep ending up with new things to dissect! It's very interesting; fascinating, really. I got to meet a goddess, though of course it's bad form to talk about it. Still, it went well, on the whole, and K.V. is a very charming fellow. Quite pleasant to look at, too. I. was extremely helpful, must thank her profusely.

The trip to Cibola was a definite success. We've brought things back, and now it's just going to be a matter of turning it all into something meaningful, I think. And hoping they can be used in the appropriate ways. I'll need to touch base with C. and make sure he's up for it - or with R., at least.

P.B. may very well be the very thing to one variant of the J. I'm aware of, but more time will be needed, I suspect, before we know. I'm just glad he wasn't with us for the trip to that Library; still feeling guilty about threatening to kill A. He took it in remarkably good humour, all things considered. He's not, after all, really quite used to the adventures I am, but he is picking up remarkably well. Will need to talk to M., however, about it - and possibly to P. as well. I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea.

D.B. got the paperwork done. I am very, very happy that's finally done, and hopefully little sister will realize in truth the importance of this to the family. She and I still haven't gotten to have a good long heart to heart without being interrupted, though she did do splendidly at rising to the occasion in that plague barrens. Still, I know she wasn't comfortable showing cleavage; I hope she knows I don't expect it of her.

T. is recovered well, and I'm quite relieved. She and V. teamed up to save me from a Fate Worse Than Death (what, again?) while Jack was ever the gentleman and did exactly what I asked him to. I think I'll send all involved a case of something drinkable. Each, of course.

Next up, a trip to somewhere cold and miserable, after which someplace drafty. Maybe after all that I'll get a vacation, but I do rather doubt it. Looking forward to the latest results with the specimen taken en masse.
