Hi guys! ♥ Guess what? I've made another picspam! Only took me like two months right? It isn't either of the ones I'm supposed to be doing though (Adrift and They Keep Killing Suzie). But I will do them!
Anyway, I've had to split this one into two parts, because this episode is so amazingly stunning that I went mad with the images. I have 41 and I'm only half way through. It's To The Last Man, of course! =D Hope you like it!
To The Last Man
.for Lauren
Hi there Harriet and Gerald! Lol, Gerald wants to flirt with the nurse but Harriet totally cockblocks him. Awww. Wonder what she was like with Jack?
Anyway, the hopsital has a bit of a ghosty problem and the Scooby Gang Torchwood are here to investigate! Gerald and Harriet stumble into a little piece of the future. Fancy that.
Why it's a mysterious young man and Toshiko! Mr Mystery pleads with Gerald and Harriet to go and take his past self out of the hopsital bed, so that he can be in the future and shiz. How mysterious, Mr Mystery Man.
Gerald and Harriet take it in their stride - they're used to dealing with weird shit like this. Gerald asks Tommy to hold his hand and go with them to Torchwood, where they'll look after him. Yeah, I'm sure Jack'll look after him very well. Jack/Tommy anyone? Just me? Okay then.
Ooo Tosh is making herself pretty. Who for, I wonder? Oh and I love this song! Moby is amazing and the song is so melancholy ♥
Over at the Hub, Jack is explaining the plot to Gwen. So Tommy is a frozen soldier from 1918 who they defrost once a year blah blah. And today's the daaay! And Gwen wants to know how old he is, which is kind of tricky. Jack and Ianto are messing around with her a little bit, aww Gwen.
Ianto: It depends on how you work it out.
Gwen: Okay, when was he born?
Jack: 1894!
Gwen: LOLZ........SAYWHAT?
I love Gwen in this episode, she's so silly! ♥
Whee! A quick trip to Iceland the morgue and Tommy's popped to the side to defrost.
Lol at Gwen behind Jack there. Brings back memories of what I made my Jack and Gwen action figures do...
Yay! Tommy's okay! It was looking a little touch and go there for a bit! Ianto was wandering around taking photographs (whut?) but now he's helping to restrain Tommy. Owen gets a slap round the face for his troubles, haha. Pwned.
As much as Ianto pretends to be annoyed at being asked to make the tea, he goes all out. Full english and everything. Look at Jack tucking in there, he loves it (he can't get enough of Ianto's special sausage)! OMNOMNOM. And is Owen stealing something from Tosh's plate? Not cool, bro.
Tommy: Got your slacks on underneath. Is it that cold outside?
Ianto: It's the fashion this year.
LOL IANTO! And look at that smile Gwen's giving him. So adorable! Also, note handporn.
Tommy has a little checkup. Owen's really rather cold towards him (lol bad pun). He's quite protective of Tosh in this episode. It's kinda sweet, even if he is kind of being a dick to Tosh and Tommy in the process.
Back in Jack's office, Jack gives Gwen some more of the plot background. Apparently they're keeping Tommy frozen because Gerald and Harriet saw the the time shift thing. And they figure he'll be able to stop the problem when things get worse. Poor Tommy, he gets such a bum deal. For the sake of the World. It's awful.
Jack shows Gwen this little case, that probably holds instructions for Tommy. Sealed documents from 1918. Gwen tries to open it, but nothing at Torchwood is that easy is it?
Jack: It's a temporal lock, tied in with the rift frequencies at the hospital.
Gwen: *eyeroll*
Lol. I love this scene! Gwen and Jack are so adorable together in this episode.
Tommy comes in, in his lovely new outfit (that Ianto totally hooked him up with. I could imagine Ianto standing Tommy in front of a mirror and agonising for an hour about finding just the right balance of the cute-soldier-from-the-past-who-is-hoping-to-get-laid-tonight look and the I-am-totally-from-the-21st-century look).
Tommy: How do I look?
Gwen: LIKE A FILM STAR!
*giggle* Aaah Gwen I love you.
Tosh and Tommy head out, and everyone's all smiles. Cute.
Gwen: Jack, have you got any more of those pretty boys in the freezer?
Jack: Hands off, missy. Tosh got there first.
Heee!
LOL GWEN.
Gwen: He's a frozen soldier from 1918.
Jack: Nobody's perfect.
Aww, they're so adorable and awkward. And Lucy forgot the border, haha. Can I just say how much I love the mosaic effect statue as well? *hearts*
I love this little conversation about Tosh's work.
Tommy: But you weren't conscripted. I mean, it's your choice, right?
Tosh: Yeah, I suppose it is.
Oh Tosh! This is so poignant with the hindsight of Fragments.
Gwen: He's a bit of all right.
Ianto: He's the boss.
Gwen: Nothing changes.
Hehe! Aww, Gwen and Ianto are adorable. Look at that and tell me they don't adore each other. Also, Gwen is a saucy minx, but she isn't the only one..
Ianto: She's all right too. Harriet Derbyshire.
Heeee Ianto you fox!
Then Ianto goes all emo at how young people die in Torchwood. Poor thing. Gwen decides to leave Ianto to be a miserable bastard (sorry bb, haha) and go stake out the creepy hospital of doom. It makes me squee that he asks her where she's going for some reason. I have it baaad.
Gwen: And bloody cheer up will you?
Now, it's my personal belief that this was a part of Ianto making the decision to start things with Jack again (because I think Ianto had been saying no till this point). Obviously, what happens with Tosh and Tommy gets to them all and this is what actually prompts Ianto to start things again...but I think he was already thinking about it. And yay Gwen is worried about Ianto's welfare! That person who wrote that Gwen doesn't pay any attention to Ianto (in the Archives book) can kindly stfu.
Meanwhile, Tosh pwns Tommy at pool/snooker/what-the-fuck-ever game it is. I dunno.
They have a conversation about boyfriends and girlfriends - and Tommy says something which I think is very interesting.
Tommy: The war changed me, I couldn't just carry on like before.
Sounds familiar to Torchwood, yes? Sure, Gwen is trying her hardest to balance it, but arguably she isn't doing all that well keeping them seperate. She's getting there though. But anyway, after you join Torchwood, nothing is the same - especially relationships.
This hopsital is such a beautiful set, I love it! And it's really creepy!
OHNOES ONE LEGGED MAN! RUN GWEN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
....or back away slowly, whatever works for you babe. The one legged man disappears, and Gwen decides that this obviously wasn't creepy enough and walks around a bit more.
And gets pwned by some workmen. They ask her if she's seen a ghost. They've obviously been reading up on their 'cliche things to say in spooky settings to people you've just made crap themselves'. A+ LADS!
Jack arrives, and proceeds to kneel on the floor. I'm not complaining. You kneel all you want Jack bb. Anyway, he thinks the time shifts are something to do with the demolition. Oh yeah, the workmen are demolishing the place, very slowly.
Jack: It was like walking into hell. Believe me. I was there.
♥
Because this is a beautiful shot.
Back at the bar, Tommy is affected by the footage of the war in Iraq, and says a few words on the futility of war.
Tommy: After all that.
But he ordered the drinks correctly, yay!
Tosh: Yes, I think we're worth saving. Wars and all.
I love you, Tosh!
Tommy: I was just thinking, I'd do anything for you.
Aww, Tosh is all blushy. Cute!
Meanwhile, back at the creepy ass hospital of doom, Jack and Gwen are wandering around again. Just strolling, y'know? Jack hears a noise, and tells Gwen to shut the fuck up.
Jack: Quiet bitch! Jack is thinking!
Gwen pisses off on her own and Jack does a little moody wandering in moody halls. He's made to walk moodily through darkly lit coriddors.
And stumbles across some more ghosts. The same nurse as before, since obviously only one nurse worked at this hospital in 1918, and some creepy ass bloke singing a fucking creepy song. Seriously, ick. *cough* pedo *cough*
Gwen has an encounter with....the same nurse. The fuck? Anyway, the nurse can see Gwen. OHSHIT! But like last time, she disappears.
Aww such a cute scene on the pier! Tommy gives Tosh a little kiss and she's all surprised and shy. And bugged by the fact that she's older than him.
Tommy: You daft lass, what goes on in that head of yours?
Awww, cuuute!
Awww yay! =D
Tommy: OK SEX NAO PLZ Y/Y *FROLICS*
Oh noes! Torchwood calls, and it's not good.
TO BE CONTINUED
Part two coming tomorrow, hopefully :)
