The Beast Below
Hey lovelies ♥
Been a bit crap again this week. Well, the Doctor Who high only lasts so long :p I tend to withdraw when I'm like this, so I'm sorry I've fallen out of touch with most of you. I'm getting better, slowly, even though sometimes it really doesn't feel like it. I was the most sad I couldn't get to be at the Hub 4 last weekend, but I was (and now am again) dirt poor. It sounds like those who went had an amazing time, and I'm hoping to be able to go to the next one (because omg Indira!)
Bought the tickets for my next trip to America! I fly out on the 2nd June and come back on the 11th - on the 10.30pm death flight again. I came back on that flight before and omg it was the worst. The flight itself was fine - and I find that I really enjoy flying, especially the take-off, go figure - but I was in a bit of a state (as in fucking weeping all the way through taxi, takeoff and then Up (amazing film, but it was a real mistake to watch it at that moment, lol) and I didn't sleep a wink all the way back. But next time I'll take something to knock me out or something. Something American :p
Found out today that I have to go all the way up to Runcorn in June for a staff conference with work. I'm the only one from my branch going, and I have to go. No excuses. It's overnight and they pay for my travel and hotel though. I guess it could be exciting, if I didn't have to actually go to the conference, lol. Gonna take a long time to get there, but it's a good thing I like travelling. I suppose I'll make the most of it, as long as I don't have to do any stupid embarrassing shit at this conference.
As per last week, Doctor Who was once again amazing. I loved it. Especially Liz 10 omg. I made another episode picspam for it, but this one is much longer than the last one. I hope to do this every week, because it's kind of like therapy to me :p This episode looked incredible, and I'm actually really happy with the picspam, for like the first time in my life, lol. So here it is:

Creepy. I love it. I also love that you can see Kent Block (lol sounds like a prison ward) Also BAD BOY TIMMY. For the lulz.
"My name is Amy Pond, when I was seven I had an imaginary friend. Last night was the night before my wedding, my imaginary friend came back."
I just love that the Doctor calls her Pond, it's cute. And her little speech here is lovely ♥ I also love how similar she is to Wendy Darling here, flying (kind of) in her nightie.
"Now that's interesting!"
Lol at the Doctor saying they're only observers. Good luck with that :p it's certainly worked out well so far.
"Oh, god, I'm in my nightie!"
I need to say how much I love Starship UK London, because I do. The set's amazing. I especially love the London Underground type logo above the lifts. It's the small touches :p And the bunting, the bunting is amazing. I just love the whole idea of them basically picking up what they could of London and putting it into the ship. Including the phoneboxes ♥
"What I always do. Stay out of trouble....badly."
True true.
"I wonder what I did."
I love this scene ♥ lol at the Scots wanting their own ship. I especially love the line I quoted there. Because technically she's already made a choice, even though she hasn't actually done anything. Oh timey wimey. But oh no, she's captured by the Jedi!
"I'm Liz 10 - and I will find you."
Liz 10 is the most amazing ♥ love her. And this scene is stunning.
"May God have mercy on our souls."
This scene is awesome, and creepy, and I totes don't blame Amy for pressing the button.
"Say wheeeeee!"
Heee! I love their completely opposite reactions to things, especially this, lol.
"This isn't going to be big on dignity"
The most gross. And I still don't know how they ended up in that tunnel *shrugs* I figure the British installed a puke pipe, we Brits have come a long way :p
"There's nothing broken, no signs of concussion......and yes, you are covered in sick."
I love the way this scene is lit and omg there's Liz 10 being awesome.
"I'm the bloody queen mate. Basically, I rule."
Best scene right here. And I love the mentions of the other monarchs. Oh Liz 1. Dirty Doctor.

Looking back on this scene today kind of gave me chills. Because clearly he is following the highest authority, even though she doesn't know it. I love the set for her bedroom as well. The chandelier on the floor ♥ And Liz and the Doctor on her bed....I ship it.
"This one, as far as we are aware, is the last of it's kind. And what we have done to it breaks my heart."
Okay, this is the other best scene. Liz was just trying to save her people, but the poor star whale :( I don't blame her for wanting to forget. But her face when she realises that she's the monster who gave the order. Meep.
"Oh I don't care. When we're done here you're going home."
Serious business :/ omg the bit where he says he'll need a new name if he has to 'kill' the star whale! Ultra sadness.
"It came because it couldn't stand to watch your children cry."
Four for you Amy Coco, you go Amy Coco, and none for the Doctor byeeee :p Seriously though, go Amy! And aww at the fact the star whale stayed even after they'd been torturing it for so long.

Oh, Amy. I love her. And kind of like Wendy Darling again. I love that. In the end, of course, Wendy went back home and grew up, I wonder what'll happen with Amy?

Omg Amy's little poem is love! And Winston Churchill with Daleks! Do want immediately! And omg the crack!!! (that sounds slightly disturbing, so I'd like to point out that I'm referring to the crack on the ship :p)
I'm looking forward to the next episode so much. For one, I adore Mark Gatiss (he's one of the League of Gentlemen, for the fucking win - plus he's gay and has a love for history, what's not to love? Apart from the Lazarus episode of new Who, we'll just forget that one. No offence, Mark :p) and secondly, I love the Daleks. Even though the only good episode with them in New Who is Dalek (in my opinion) they'll always be back, so idk why people seem so surprised all the time. I think this one will kind of put a new twist on things. I'm eager to see how they use them anyway. Oh, and I want to see the Doctor punch that guy, coz it looks lulzy in the previews.
